Ok guys most of us have one at least that one different caliber you know the oddball the one that isn't so Mainstream for me that is my 6.5x55 swede but everyday it is becoming more mainstream so I'd have to say my 6.5x284 Norma is my most odd so what is yours?

.32-20 is as close to an oddball as I get. Almost fell into obscurity, brought back by the cowboy shooters.

I think that 25-20 single shot for a Stevens 44-1/2 rifle is the most oddball for me.:) I have several others that are not common like 33 WIN, 500 NE, 44 AMP, 8MM BM and such but I like the 25-20 SS the best (more challenge).:)

.357/.44 B&D or my grandfathers .32/.357 wildcat. Both are loads of fun and reach out with authority beyond their size.

6.5x.257 (.257 Roberts necked up to 6.5mm, for use in a rechambered Type 38 Arisaka)

I have made combustible "cartridges" for .36 and .44 percussion revolvers. Does that count?

Until I found this cite, I was for years under the impression that my (1895) 7x57mm Mauser was an "oddball" caliber. It's increasing unavailability of surplus ammo is what got me back into reloading after a few years hiatus. That's about as close to "oddball" as I get.

38/45 Clerke
Now that was one slick round. Short life till the necks split but a really cool round.

Mine would be 6 PPC tight neck when I was into it years ago. Starting with Lapau 220 Russian (still have some) sizing, neck turning and fire forming the brass. Still have the tools but haven't made any in years.
