I think it's safe to say that very few of us can afford all the guns we'd like to have. I certainly can't. My wishlist constantly evolves. Right now...
1. Shiloh Sharps 1874 military rifle in .45-70
2. Ruger Vaquero in .45 Colt (newer model, 5.5 inch barrel, probably stainless)
3. Remington 1858 conversion to .38 Special
4. Ruger 10/22 compact that I'd drop into a Choate folder and add either NDS or Tech-Sights. This would give me a compact little semi-auto trainer with good iron sights to practice with.
5. 20" AR-15 with a medium heavy contour barrel, a good trigger, and good optics mounted with back-up iron sights.
6. an extra AR Lower to build into something... not sure what yet.
7. Marlin 1894 Cowboy II. I'd have to search for this one on the used market and probably pay dear for it. 357 would make the most logistical sense, but I think .44 Magnum would give me a lot more flexibility for my uses.
8. a Long Land Brown Bess historically accurate for the colonies circa 1750. It would probably be an older model refitted with an iron ramrod and a bad attitude.
That's my wishlist. There are a million things I need to buy before I start thinking about buying a passel of guns, and even a compact defensive gun or two that need to go in first, but that's the list of "wants" right now.
