What's your wishlist look like right now?

I suppose the top item on my wishlist is a proper kevlar helmet with the right covers to match my uniforms: black, OD, woodland camo, digital camo, and maybe even chocolate chip.

Of course, I will probably be looking for horsehide D-Day paratrooper gloves for a long time. Took me four years to find decent boots in my size.

This is difficult, because I have everything that I "need", and 99% of everything I ever could want. Anything I could add to my gun vault would be simply a duplicate of a cartridge and rifle I already own, but simply a different "style". For example, I have an M70 Super Grade in .270 Win. What really would I add to my collection with the M70 Featherweight in .270 Win?!

Every time I look at different rifles or pistols, I come to the same conclusion. Whatever I could add, would add nothing whatsoever to my hunting abilities, so why keep spending more on more firearms? I might better use that money for going on some hunts-of-a-lifetime.

Between rifles in .22LR, .223 Rem, 5.56mm, .22-250 Rem, .243 Win, .270 Win, .308 Win, 7.62mm and .300 Win Mag, there is nothing in North America that I could not hunt (that I can afford to hunt). Add to those, handguns in .22LR, 9mm, 10mm, .38 Spcl, .357 Mag, and .45 ACP, what do I lack? Oh yeah, a couple 12 gauges. I have those too. I'm right-as-rain, for hunting and target shooting, and that feels awesome!

Now, I turn my focus to the various hunting seasons, and enjoy, very contentedly, what I already own. Would I like to have an M70 Featherweight? Sure. And an M70 Extreme Weather. But I don't need them, and I can use that same money to travel and hunt. My wish list:

Hunt more boar, whitetail, antelope, ram, black bear, pheasant, rabbit, squirrels, and most of all...introduce more non-hunters to our sport, and our culture. If I can do that, I've made a worthwhile contribution to society. :)

Not guns so much as accessories for guns:

1. Nightforce ATACR scope and mounts.
2. Reloading gear, lots of reloading gear.
3. Time to learn much more about guns and their history.

And I agree with javjacob, that's very well said Geno!

Hoping that the rental Sig 232 which is often out for repairs (fourth phone call over numerous months-no luck) will finally be available to rent with lucky timing, and try out for a First time.

This is Range USA, in Bartlett (Memphis), TN.
No kidding or exaggeration about any of this. Maybe the repair facility they ship to uses worn parts? I know little about handguns.

Shockingly I'm satisfied with my current inventory of firearms. My focus now days is making the ones I own the best they can be and loading up enough ammo and stocking enough reloading supplies to where when the next panic hits I'm oblivious to it instead of just slightly annoyed by it.

1. New president
2. Constitution-friendly Congress
3. Nation-wide re-awakening of the meaning of American Exceptionalism and our roots

IMO, if I can get that, all else will work itself out.

Ammo.

Pistol ammo.

Revolver ammo.

More magazines.

I already own what some folks have called, a 'fugly' Browning Hi Power in factory MARPAT finish.

Really, really want:

1.) Long range manually-operated rifle in .260 Remington with a can, snugged down in the AI stock that's been sitting forlornly in the back of my safe for two years. :(
2.) KAHR PM9093L PM9 9MM plus holster and spare magazines
3.) Bolt-action hunting rifle in .375 H&H (I blame H&H Hunter and Robert for this)
4.) AR10 in .308 to match the magazines I've got on hand.

Nice to have:
1.) Another S&W M&P Pro set up with a flashlight and night sights for home defense duties.
2.) A lightweight Dr. Rob-style AR15. Seriously, what a cool rifle.
3.) A "tactical-ized" 10/22 so I have something to match the pile of magazines to go with it.
4.) An open-class IPSC race gun chambered in 9mm Major.
5.) A S&W 625 in .45ACP set up for USPSA Revolver division.

Really want, but won't ever get:

Enough range time to enjoy what I've got and what I want.

A 35 cal Thunderbeast can
A few more Glock 19s
A Benelli M2 Tactical in 20ga (hey, a guy can dream!)

The only gun I even remotely desire at the moment is a Glock 20 Gen3. And it's not a burning desire...

I have other (non-firearms-related) priorities at the moment, and no shortage whatsoever of guns to shoot for just about any purpose.
