Where are reloading components available (Not a Discussion Thread)

I have resorted to the internet to order product during this mess. Most of the time I try to source items locally, but obviously locally is not an option. Especially if you live in Upstate NY where all gun ranges and stores are closed. Below are some recent purchases and random thoughts about dealers I used. I am not trashing anyone. Just stating facts.
  1. I recently ordered two different powders from ttps://www.wholesalehunter.com/ . This was my first experience with them. I'm heading into week 3+ weeks of the wait and I still don't have a tracking number or a ship date. I get it there is a pandemic, but 3+ weeks to ship seems a tad long. But maybe its just me being impatient!
  2. Ordered bullets (9mm and 45 ACP) from https://www.wholesalehunter.com/ and I received a partial order. Order status online shows it all shipped, but I have no tracking info for the other part of the order. Again I get it there is a pandemic....but I'm into week two on that order. I will need to call when they are open. Trying to remain optimistic.
  3. I ordered Small and Large pistol primer's from Bruno's Shooters Supply (https://www.brunoshooters.com/). They are great to order from and responsive. My order shipped within two days and is on its way to be delivered next week. Will order from them in the future.
  4. Sent in three rebate forms to Hornady for some free bullets. It took about two weeks to process three rebates and ship my product which I received yesterday. To be honest I expected this to take the longest since it was rebate items. I think they did a great job with the current madness.

Anyone know of a place to buy LC 5.56 once fired for a decent price? Brassbombers is out of business and some of these other websites that sell brass just look sketchy.

H322 appears to be rarer than hen's teeth. I have two lbs. that I am saving for either the apocalypse or whenever my range opens up again; of course, if the former precedes the latter, well.....o_O

Here ya go: https://www.armorally.com/shop/lake-city-556/

Know that this brass (like most military fired brass now available) needs to be decapped and swaged. $180/1,000, which sees a bit steep to me, but hey, it's available.

What do you use H322 for? It seems really picky with my 223rem and 50-55gr bullets.

It's my only propellant for my .223 Howa 1500 Varmint. Took me about two months to work up a load with a 60 gr. HP bullet that, when I do my part, produces sub-MOA groups at 100 yds. consistently. Depending on your barrel length (and twist), you might want to move up to a heavier bullet. I use the 55 gr FMJs in my .223 Saiga AK, and it eats 'em like candy.

Repost from other threads/PMs for those looking for components in stock:

Here's a listing of bullet manufacturers/vendors THR members have used over the decades - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...ponents-on-sale.707473/page-178#post-11161685

  • If you are looking for lead bullets (particulary 45ACP 200 gr SWC $36/500 - likely lowest price), Z-Cast makes 14-16 BHN bullets I have used with good results (even lighter 4.0 gr of Red Dot/Promo and 4.8 gr W231/HP-38) and show they are "in stock" (Order 2000 to save 50% on USPS flat-rate shipping) - https://www.jacobeagle.com/bullets
  • Of course, I would recommend placing a back-order with RMR for their in-house manufactured jacketed bullets ("Match grade" used by ELEY) and waiting for them to ship (5% THR discount and free shipping on all orders) but if you can't wait several weeks, TJ Conevera has Berry's plated, PowerBond thicker plated and jacketed bullets in stock with free shipping on $75+ orders - https://store.tjconevera.com/bullets.html

I just returned from Fin Feather and Fur in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. What shortage? "Fin" just reopened yesterday and was completely stocked with reloading components. They were running two lines at the front door, one for the gun counter and one for shoppers. Just a two minute wait to get in. I was able to purchase both powders I was after and two brands of small pistol primers all at reasonable prices. I give them a lot of credit for not taking advantage of the situation. Good people! https://www.finfeatherfur.com/

I was there the day they reopened and the owner was standing outside talking with people. Very professional IMO the way they handled customers in and out. I got about 5k primers and 4lbs powder and not a penny over what they were 4 months ago. Midway and other places have a $5 increase on primers.

Bruno's is good to go.
Walkalong. THX

I had two orders for powder (WST and Unique) with Basspro. Had placed them over a month ago. After the 5th delay, I looked over the Brunos sight. They had what I needed in stock, so I ordered a one pound can of each (wanting to test it before getting a larger quantity). I cancelled my order with Basspro right after.

Their HAZMAT fee wasn't too bad. Now lets see when the order comes in. Fingers crossed.

Thanks again

I ordered powder/primers/bullets from Graf&Sons, they showed what was in stock or not. Hopefully my order holds the components for me. They are shipping orders from the first week of April according to the website.

Bruno's is good to go.
I ordered 3 different types of poweder (1# cannisters) from them last week. They just shipped it yesterday and it is scheduled to arrive on Friday. Not bad at all considering the current situation. Compared to Bass Pro, I ordered powder from them 6 weeks ahead, and I ended up having to cancel because I kept getting delay notifications.

Then it'll be time to play with now powders (Unique & WST).

Shooters Pro Shop just emailed that 30 cal 168 grain Custom Competition blems are in. Ordered a couple hundred. Within minutes, they were sold out. It's a fast market for good deals!
