I know that Glock makes a 10mm auto; who else makes 10mm autos these days, particularly a 1911 in 10mm?

Why, oh why did Colt stop making the Delta Elite 10mm???

CZ/Dan Wesson - absolutely great guns! Kimber - that's pretty much it for the 1911 production guns.

The other production guns are Glock and EAA/Tanfoglio.

I had a DW Razorback and sold it. Wasn't impressed. I later became convinced that the 1911 is not ideally suited for the 10mm. If I ever get another 10, it will be a S&W.

I wish you had sold it to ME. I have a Dan Wesson Pointman and two Deltas. Love the gun and the cartridge. An awesome combination. If I could find a Razorback at a good price, I'd buy it in half-a-heartbeat.

Some specifics would be good to know. Thanks.

As for the original question, there's also the S&W 1006 and it's variations. Definitely on my short list.

you can get a colt delta elite. some dealers on gunbroker.com still have new unfired ones even though colt hasnt made them for a long time. my brother owns a s/s one. you can probably get a nice used on for about 800-1200 bucks depending on the condition.

Try NightHawk

FYI Nighthawk will not make a 10mm. i have tried. :( They made a few when they were first starting and then decided not to make any more.

To the best of my knowlege the same applies to all the other "high end" manufactures except SVI who I believe will still make one to order.

If you want new then Dan Wesson (CZ) or Kimber is it for now. The Colt line is the most avialable and popular in the used department for 1911 styles. Other styles are avialable.

You gotta be kidding me, the 1911 isn't suited for 10mm?
I'd love to hear the story you have to tell on that one.

These 2 run flawlessly, I wish I'd bought 2 Razorbacks initially.

Great bang for the buck. Comes with fixed night sights, checkered front strap and unique two-tone finish.

Conversions of Para .40S&W P16 guns to 10mm seem pretty common. I've no idea how well they'd hold up, but its not hard to get the chamber reamed or barrel replaced. I think there is a Para smith "Hunter's Custom" or something like that who specializes it doing it.

last i saw, there was a beautiful delta elite, complete with original box, at the local gunshop. i think it was $700 or so. i was somewhat surprised to see it there.
