Who'd like to see these stocks on the market?

Would you like to see any/all these stock designs on the Market?

That is a very nice looking stock. I can't wait to start on this project (still having difficulties finding a ride to get materials, not having a liscense sucks). I'll hopefully get it started here in the next couple weeks.

One tip, when you get going on these, think about making stocks for other rifles too such as the Remington 700. People would definatly be interested then in your stocks.

Maybe you could some how make a SV98 stock for a Savage model 111? I would be first in line for one but I don't think there would be much of an market for one.

I plan on doing so down the road. I have a savage Model 110 in .243. Do you know whether or not they've the same dimensions?

Andrew Wyatt:

While this is my hobby, I'm doing this for the people who want a decent stock that costs less than others out there.

The 111 has a detachable magazine that attaches to the stock so you would need to add the mag catch to it. I would rather have gotten a Model 110 since you can actually get stocks for it but it was a Christmas present so I can't complain.

Ive also got a 110LA with the staggered box. I put a take off stock from another type of rifle on it, and swapped barrels to .300. I wouldnt mind finishing the job on converting it to a heavy rifle with a new stock :D.

I believe they are, I think the only difference is the screw distance. I'm going to the gunshop today and I'll look for a 110 to compare to my 111.

The 111 is a 110 with a detachable magazine, the short action rifles are 10 and 11. Does your 110 have a blind magazine? At the gunshop, I didn't see a 110 but there were a few 111 with a blind magazine. Yes it is a long action in 30-06, same rifle I asked for help with in the other topic I posted.

I believe it was 1984 when Savage started differentiating the action lengths by name. Mine was before that, being a .308 based cartridge in a long action. Yeah, I got a 4 round blind magazine.

I need to know what do measure with my 111. If possible, I would recommend finding a 111 somewhere that you could work with it's stock such as the magazine release and all that. If you can't work with a detachable magazine, I guess I would be fine with a single shot stock since that SV98 stock is just plain cool!

Do me a favor and measure center to center on the action screws for me. On mine, it's the front screw on the trigger guard and then under the barrel nut. Yours should be about the same spot.
