Winchester Model 12 barrel swap

I've got it down to the barrel band, it's a 30" full and I have a 20" riot that I want on the gun. What is involved with removing the band or direct me to someone with the tools and knowledge to use them.

Or actually the receiver extension would be the proper term instead of barrel band.

And there is a lot more to fitting a different barrel on a Model 12 then just screwing off the receiver extension and putting it on another barrel.
The headspace ring will need to be replaced with a new one and a chamber reamer used to re-cut it to match the new barrels chamber.

I went down just about exactly that path once. The odds against it working correctly on a Model 12 are very, very, very low... I'm with RC, send it out. Condsider Nu-Line in addition to Simmons.
