Where are the 9mm WST guys?

All you fellow WST users load for quite a few calibers especially 45. In fact in most load charts, that is where you will see WST. Try and find WST and 9mm in a load chart. You Darn near just Can't !! So maybe that is why YaAll don't mention it. I have been shooting and loading 9mm using WST for years. Its great. I use a 124 grain plated bullet and 4.4 gr of WST and I get a nice 1,025 to 1,050 fps. I know YaAll might think that is light but it's just right to meet IDPA power floor minimum. WST is very light gray, unlike a lot of powders and very easy to spot the charge in your shell before you place the bullet on it. Also because of its size, it is almost impossible to over or double charge your cartridge by accident.

Thanks gahunter, that's really interesting about the temp. I have indeed found WST to be very clean and much less smoke than Titegroup. It seems to smoke less than VV N320 I tried as well. (as an aside, I have about 4lbs of Titegroup- have been shooting in 9mm autoloader and you should see the smoke if it's not windy outside! I can barely see the target through the haze)

1K and LJ and others you are right about the range you suggested. I tried 2.3, 2.4 and 2.5g WST and those are good loads in the 38, soft shooting and not very smokey.

Great! Glad you found a load that works for you. I bet those feel like mouse farts going off don't they? I like a good soft 38 load like that, usually they are very accurate.

I just put together 150 rounds of this same load for our upcoming IDPA State match...going to chrono it in the morning to make sure it is up to speed and check POI.

Which OAL are you loading to?

I have 20 rounds at 1.150" and another 20 at 1.140"
