Five years ago I heard all these stories about how the AR can't run dirty, etc. etc. and so forth. So, I slapped together a test rifle, and went about testing. What most people see is teh "freindly" pictures, as my other pics of the test rifle have gotten all kinds of insults thrown at me...

Don't mean to be negative, but how well do you shoot other rifles? Might not be a hardware issue..

Stores probably wouldn't have those signs if the customers wouldn't be idiots. Do people go to walmart, and pull out their carry gun, finger it, and ask for ammo for it? Then why do people do it in a gun store?

You have to use a contract carrier like UPS/Fedex. You must notify them it's a firearm per their company policies. It's up to their policies to dictate shipping manner. Some counterfolk may let you use ground, others make you overnight. \ If you're a FFL, you can use the mail.

Bank statements will work, just blackout info like account numbers and balances. Also, keep your green card with your license and other stuff in your wallet. Technically, you must have it with you at all times. You can be detained and transported to a holding area until your status is verified.

Find a FFL in PA that will do a transfer. Pay your buddy, get the pistol. Get the seller's FFL #, verify address. Ship pistol via UPS/FedEx/Etc to PA FFL. Your father goes to PA FFL, fills out paperwork, gets pistol.

You can find hard armor made outside the US as well.
