Had this issue with my LCPII. It's basically sitting in a safe collecting dust. Eventually, I'll send it back to Ruger.
Now my original LCP has been a reliable workhorse. Not as pleasant to shoot as the II, but it does shoot.
As long as they go BOOM, are reasonably accurate and extract/eject, I'm okay with dirty.
I clean after every range session, so it doesn't make a ton if difference either way.
There's absolutely NOTHING at the LGS to buy. So nothing to get worked up over.
I was the other day to bring in an old Remington M58 12 gauge for repair and the shelves were bare. No powder, primers, ammo. Other than rifles and shotguns, pretty scarce.
I have a few different lock types. While I'm more accustom to Frame locks, my new favorite EDC (Ontario RAT II) is a liner lock. I think you have to work this knife very hard to have this lock fail.
