I've owned several, starting in 1973, and never had a problem with any of them.
Yes, they aren't as good as (much)higher priced models, but they've always done the job for me, and at a reasonable price, too.
And that's the most likely problem....
My buddy and I went on a quest to find the most accurate loads for our .22s (5 in all). We tried all kinds of ammo we could get our hands on. I have now fired over 5000 rounds through my Model 60(acquired used), and in all that time I had exactly 5...
According to my load book, you need .308 BR cases, not "normal" .308 or .243 cases (smaller primer). And because of the smaller primer only a coupla powders are suitable. AND maximum performance was only acheived in 27" barrels.
In short, troublesome, and picky, even for a wildcat.
Me, I'm...
Well, you learn something new, here, everyday. I had been told by a multiple police officers that butterflies were "gravity" knives. Just goes to show you how confusing the laws are, and that even the cops don't always know what they're talking about.
Exactly what type of knife was it? Inquiring minds want to know!!!!!!
I have carried a "butterfly" knife (or 2 at a time) for years in NYS (NOT NYC) and have had the pleasure of the cops taking it from me a couple times (when I forgot to leave them in the car when visiting a goverment...
5000 rounds and not one failure...every different type of ammo from Al cased Blazer to Black Talon +P+ (9mm).
What more can you ask for for $165????????????
I use wahetever is most accurate in my gun--a Marlin Model 60....And the most accurate is Wolf Match Target....Since I can place my shots with great accuracy it works great. Kills as well as "hunting ammo". YMMV
Buy a Marlin 60----You'll be happier in the end....
I won't go into all the reasons why, as others have covered it, and I've done so in numerous other threads.

Oh, did I mention the Marlin Model 60?
Under $150, slap a $40 scope on it and have a blast.
Mine shoots sub 1/2" groups (3-9x Tasco scope) at 50 yards...
There's your problem:)
Must be much different than my buddies Chinese Underfolder. While it looks cool and all, I find it near impossible to shoot with any accuracy whatsoever---I'm too used to getting a good cheak weld, even when shooting off-hand.
HAving used almost every Minwax stain (refinishing antique furniture as well as gunstocks)....
That LOOKS like a Cherry (reddish) stain of some sort....However your results will vary depending on the color of the underlying wood. Most Mosins (once cleaned of ALL Cosmoline and oil) are a very...
COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (remake)
WOW......
A remake of an oldie....."I Am Legend" originally starred Charlton Heston, and was made in the late 60's early 70's/
It is based on the book "Omega Man"(good read)
Was just thinking the other day, I haven't seen it on TV for a L-O-N-G time...
Didin't know whether to post in "General" or "Rifle Country", mods can move if needed.
As it's rather lengthy I'll just post the link:

I have a large house (maxrange 50 ft plus).....I load the first 2 rounds in the shotgun with #4 birdshot, followed by 15 pellet S&B 00 3" magnum buck shot.
Heavy birdshot will definitely take the fight outa the BG at close ranges (OK it'll make a real mess). The 00 buck WILL penetrate walls...
I once emptied my pump shotgun into a big 'ol tree where wasps had made a huge nest.
HINT: if you see a couple hundred wasps on the OUTSIDE of the tree, there's about a MILLION more inside.
HINT #2: they WILL be angry when you blow the crap outa their nest w/ birdshot.
HINT #3: If you...
