Hi,
My husband and I have gone around Eagle Butte in the past. The entire area we shot on was wiped out by disease this spring :(, so you may want to check if your area was affected. The landowner called it "plague". He was so happy the prairie dogs are gone, he said it was just like he had...
I've used Flitz, Mothers, and Blue Magic, and have been happy with all. With the MN roads and the salt, I use all of them on my truck wheels as well, so we're good to go.
JoeHatley, I'm thinkin' I'd like to hire ya for shooting lessons ;) I'd venture south...anyway, nice shooting!
Jeff...
Great choice, PlayboyPenguin! The 637 is what I most often carry. I too was surprised at the accuracy of mine the first time I put it on paper!
Enjoy:)
Glad to hear your wife has chosen to carry, fjolnirsson! :D Congrats to you both.
My husband at first did not fully support me "packing" after my decision to pursue my permit to carry, but I am thankful he has changed his tune since then (April 2004).
I have not experimented with many...
Janitor,
Any idea where one might find that paint marker you use? Brand name?
I've had trouble with some other products coming off when cleaning, so your recommendation sounds interesting.
Thanks!
617 is a good recommendation, I am currently in the market for one myself! Any price or barrel length you have in mind? Maybe also consider looking for a S&W model 18 or 17, or a Colt Diamondback. The Ruger SP might be another option, but I don't believe it is made in the .22 anymore either...
Thanks for clearing this up for me, Jtward!
Oh, and HighVelocity, thanks for that photo too, LOL
NOW I get the idea. Heck, I think maybe I need one
My husband has a CZ 527 varmint in a .204, and he put a Weaver V-24 scope on it with millet rings. At 50 yards with the scope elevation turned all the way up, it still shoots 8 inches low. He took it to our local gunsmith yesterday, and the smith said to shim the scope up between the scope and...
Clipse, that is mighty cool and thanks for sharing. I like it!
My husband told me there would be a divorce if I came home with a tattoo :fire: but since he's still ok with me and my handgun habit, I'll refrain from getting a tattoo.... ;) .
One other thing that was mentioned to me, was that even IF one is able to acquire the FFL, many of the distributors will not even do business without the storefront. ???
The dealers I normally visit have said that one would run into trouble obtaining an FFL if they do not have a storefront to conduct business. Is this not true?
Ahrends will send you unfinished grips. I bought two sets of K/L round w/fingergrooves (unfinished) from them recently, they turned out great! Gorgeous grain too, IMO.
Totally! Besides that, I'd probably leave it someplace:uhoh:
I wear sweatshirts alot, and I usually carry in a Bianchi Black widow--high rise belt holster, probably in the 2 o'clock range. The sweatshirts pretty much make the gun disappear. I'll have to come up with another plan once the...
your own personal glowstick.
 hehe, now that's funny! lol
wish we could get the coyotes around to consume something to make them glow...they are getting way too smart.
interesting post, Preacherman!
