Just for reference. I am 6'2" and 185# with slim athletic build and Large hands. The Model 69 is pretty pleasant to shoot with full house magnums. The 629 Mtn. Gun is about the same although seems to have more muzzle flip even though it weighs more.
The 329PD Scandium is a hand breaker with...
I've put 50 rounds of full house magnum thru my Model 69 in one sitting (X-frame grips installed) and was not bad at all. For reference these were a mix of 240's @1375, 180's @1600, and a www 300's@~1200.
I have a 69 as my lightweight powerhouse trail gun. I've had a couple 629 Mtn. guns as well. Totally prefer the 69. It handles better, is lighter, and is far more accurate than either of the 629 Mtn. Guns I had.
Out of the 69 a 240gr XTP @ 1350 is a nice solid load. I've shot 300 and 320 gr WFN...
I frequently Appendix carry or pocket carry a CM9. Contrary to Kahr's owners manual mine did not take 200 rounds to break in.
I have about 500 rounds thru it now including 147gr HST, 124+p Gold Dot, 9BPLE (+p+ 115gr) and it has been flawless! It astounds me that a pistol this small can be so...
Suarez International has done a G21 and a G23/32 for me. ~ten day turn around both times. $130 plus they offer Ameriglow standard and tritium suppressor sights. Also offer package deals if you buy your RMR from them. Very happy with both my experiences with them...
Not in a pocket though right? OP is asking about pocket pistol. I agree GP100 is a great revolver but even a bobbed 3" is ~38oz. Far too heavy and large for pocket carry.
I find 20oz to be about as much as I want to carry in a pants pocket and 13-15oz is even better.
There are still S&W Model 28 Highway Patrol's to be found for mid $500ish. I picked up one (4") P&R a few years ago for $500. You can't beat these for quality for the money.
I worked in a gun store in the mid 90's and gave my brother a P11 I bought for him. He has had it and carried it since then ('95?) without issue. We've both shot it a lot including +p and +p+. He still has it and carries it daily.
Needed one extractor in that time (from dry firing which is a...
I had a mint 3" CS-1 in box I sold on gun broker a few years ago for $1300.
Most of the US Customs revolvers were ordered destroyed by then Attorney General Janet Reno. They are rare, extremely well made and have a cool matt frosted finish.
If you have one I'd keep it, and if you're going to...
DPMS G2. I have a Recon that i lighted up with a MI Keymod handrail. Put on an adjustable gas block.
The G2 is really revolutionary in extraction and ejection reliability. I spent months researching everything from high end off the shelf to building one myself and concluded that the technology...
I own both the 340 M&P and a 386 Mtn. Lite.
They are both exceptional revolvers but very different in application.
I CCW a 340 almost all the time in a pocket holster. I run 124gr +p Remington Golden Sabers in it. Best overall balance of recoil vs penetration/expansion.
I have fired many...
Just a suggestion but in my testing (Clear Ballistic Gel) and that of many others the .38+p Remington Golden Saber proves to be much more consistent in penetration and expansion and seems to be easier to find. I bought a case of it at sgammo.com and they almost always have it in stock at decent...
Shooter.
It is incredibly easy to use. Will import atmospheric data and GPS info. Can Bluetooth pair to a Kestrel. Has continually updated Litz verified Bullet data.
Will compensate for spin drift and Coriolis effect.
In short it has everything you need and more
My come ups generated with it...
