You kidding me--been on for 5+ Seasons now and one of the single best firearms documentaries I've ever seen (in terms of what's possible when condensed into thirty minute shows). Mantegna is a fervent 2A advocate which is his line of work is virtually unheard of...besides, he's a 1911 Guy so...
My newest find a NIB S&W 5946 purchased at Cabela's--very rare situation as new S&W 5900 Series pistols are endangered. Still some left last I checked for $599.
Yup--there's a reason our brilliant, clairvoyant Founding Fathers understood the need to break away from the King...First and foremost are the freedoms that are had and protected via the rights of the people to bear arms, something of which to the very day some 241 years ago America established...
It's mostly intended for people that don't want the hassle of the NFA crap whereby you have to jump through Uncle Sam's hoops...It fills the 14'' barrel itch as easy as buying a pistol or revolver...Let's face it, one would only purchase one of these for two reasons 1) CQB be it home, office...
I couldn't say it better. They both get the job done is a very similar manner functionality wise but in terms of pure aesthetics, I gotta agree with you--the Hi Power wins!'

I will post some of my handguns as I'm either too lazy to sift through my pics (procrastinate on organizing them) or haven't yet taken pics of some. Here's a few:
My CCW
Nothing fancy but the G26 (to me) is 1) an incredibly comfortable fit for my large hands and 2) a 'good-looking broad' if I may say so myself (beauty always will be in the eye of the beholder)...;)
Yup--sign of the times (heck YouTube's vids illustrate this). Only two options IMO 1) delivered to third party 2) Surveillance system which is a good idea in general...
Happy Holidays
I definitely buy whenever I can from them (it has to be competitively priced of course) as Larry Potterfield has been one of this Great Nation's absolute strongest Patriot's. His unwavering support of the NRA/Second Amendment is almost unrivaled and certainly indispensable. I had the honor of...
When people ask this question I always answer, "Yes, I need my gun everyday." And that's not intended to be flipid or arrogant but empirically honest. I need my gun/s just as much as I need my home/auto/health insurance.
That said, thankfully I have not had to use my CCW (or remove it from...
S&W M&P 22.
Obviously I'm looking to shoot more (absent filing Ch. 11 ;). Not to veer off on a tangent but the ability to practice more (then one might with 9/45 ammo) with a virtually "identical" gun is IMO very beneficial/advantageous win/win...
I gotta say that the Walther-made guns...
Interesting thread to be sure.
But the responses remind me of the eternal ongoing debate over "Constitutional Interpretation." As an undergrad I had the pleasure of having SCOTUS (failed) Nominee Robert Bork speak before a huge lecture hall filled with "Political Law" majors.
Bork (as I do)...
Indeed--Larry Potterfield/MidWayUSA is a true American Patriot! I had the extreme pleasure of meeting him in Houston at the NRA National Convention. For those that know him I am stating the obvious but he and his wife are two of the nicest 'down-to-earth' people I have ever had the good fortune...
Can't beat this as it's 1/2 off of normal Life Membership price--the fight for Second Amendment Rights never, ever ends:

Ammo prices hit me a bit during that period (but really it was just preferring to find/pay for cheap practice ammo--I have a decent supply of competition ammo (prior to the panic that is).
However, in a silar manner I just padi $200 more than I could have a few months back for my Vepr--course...
