Dillon Super Swage 600, Possum Hollow trimmer, RCBS Automatic Primer Feed Combo., Lee Ergo-Prime...I bought a Lee LM so I need the hand primer till I can get the press to work right! :(
Loading since 1967 and have never had a problem.
Annealed cases when needed but never trimmed a pistol case.
But you all feel free to add an extra step if you like. :D
There are going to be holiday deals this time of year. If you find some you'd like to share I'm sure someone will benefit from the information. Thanks!
LTH,
Bullet seating is typically done off the ogive (pronounced "o-jive") or curvature on the side of the bullet. The "flat" die, if you will, may seat the bullet off the flat at the top of the bullet but any curved bullet will seat off the ogive. The seating die is not supposed to perfectly...
I get this on factory Remington Express .45 acp. 230 gr. FMJ cases in my 1911.
Does that mean they are low powered or normal? Just wondering?
Sometimes I think powder choice is main factor. YMMV
From the research I've been able to find online through many reloading forums I believe W748 most closely matches the powder used in the production of M855 ammunition for our military. If it's good enough for them, well, it's good enough for me. I've loaded over a thousand rounds of this and am...
IMO, the Load Master has a poorly designed priming system, COAL is not consistent and generally I regret buying this press. I have spent many hours watching the videos, researching online fixes, doing the modifications and carefully examining every motion of this press and personally cannot...
If expansion of HP is a concern during the winter, wouldn't it be just as wise to keep the HP ammo all year long? If it doesn't expand its the same as ball and if it expands at all its going to be better than ball, right? YMMV just sayin'!
Does anyone have the link to the site where a fellow made a case prep center using a hand-held mixer in a wooden box?
I was asked how the guy connected the cut-off beaters to the case prep tools and can't remember.
BTW, I had it saved until I killed my old computer and lost about a...
I know this isn't the response you want to hear but realize you have the option to move to a gun (freeedom) friendly state.
If you say yeah but...job, family, etc. your making the decision to pay for the insane laws to be implemented and enforced.
I am also watching these events in other...
Good luck getting the post office to pay-up!
They damaged a fairly expensive scope I had purchased from an individual.
Kept playing "the other guy needs to take care of this" till time expired to process a claim! :fire:
Now I use FedEX whenever there is a choice.
I realize bullets...
I agree with Blue68f100, I'd add another layer of plywood and move the press to the right. The new board would hide the old holes and make it much more rigid. Also, you can apply several coats of clear polyurethane to provide durable protection at a good cost and great looks.
Either way glad...
ROCKS AGAIN!!! :D
Expander/rod/decapping pin was damaged during use.
Called RCBS, no problem, new rod with expander and extra decapping pins sent NO CHARGE!
Just wanted to tell of their great service as a way of saying thanks.
Mods please move to Reloading...my mistake. Thanks
frankt, I don't really have anything to offer except thanks for this post. I was getting ready to pick-up the adjustable disc next month. Now I think I'll stick with the regular discs.
I recently posted about priming problems on my Loadmaster but couldn't find the post to update so here is the update.
I was having problems with cases not getting primed or primed sideways or upside down. This problem has plaqued me for weeks. What I found is pure operator error.
I watched...
