Not even campus security is allowed guns at Portland State. I brought all this up at a public safety meeting where they were instituting this new fad of emergency notifications and such. They blew me off and wouldn't let me speak anymore. The security guards and a bunch of other people...
Researching after the purchase... the bane of my existence. That's how I recently acquired a low serial number 1903.
Speaking of which, anyone want to buy a low serial 1903? PM me. :D
I knew it. I just knew it. I make it a point to NEVER open physics related threads in here, because it just depresses me. Kinda like when at the bar and someone asks what I do. I tell them I'm a physicist and they say, "Huh? What's that?" :banghead::banghead:
It's already been said, but...

Okay, so I haven't read the book, nor seen the movie, but I DID read that link above, and they say he had a map with him.
I would carry a large enough rifle to kill a bear, maybe a 7mm mag or something similar. I would also bring a .22 revolver...
Tell him you'll only sell it to him if he can demonstrate safe handling techniques. You say this is your concern, explain the impact that unsafe gun handling can have. Take him to the range. Explain why you don't feel comfortable, maybe he'll take it to heart.
This is all assuming you trust...
Don't spread the word. :neener:
Oh yeah, and unless you have a concealed weapons permit, look at city laws before open carrying. It's illegal without the ccp in at least Portland and Salem.
Sorry didn't realize you could open carry with no problems there (oh wait, apparently you can't). In a few cities in Oregon you can only open carry if you have a concealed weapons permit. Portland is like that.
I like it but for one detail. I think using the idiot's name is giving him the glory that he was looking for. Let's remember him not as Cho, but as the VT lunatic.
I am not too familiar with the laws there, but if he had a concealed carry permit, what is the problem?
Why is it unknown if he had a valid permit, wouldn't you want to carry that permit ON YOU at all times, not to mention in said situation? Is this just a situation of he had the permit on...
Wow... just wow. It's funny, I always manage to avoid these threads until about this time in their life... Anyways, I AM a physicist. Mechanics isn't necessarily my forte, that being solid state and e&m, but I have taken a few years of mechanics too.
1911Tuner is dead on, he even said it...
