Hey Steve, those are solid good looking guns. In this age of plastic guns, I never tire of blue steel and wood, particularly in 22s. My best fitting 22 is a 1964 Marlin 39A. The 10/22s in our world all sing and dance until the 39As come out.

My favorite 22, my Marlin 39A, has a small 28mm RF Leupold on it. I like the look of the smaller optics on that slender gun. To each his own, but some 39A photos look like they are scoped for Elk.

Dumbhunter, you did just fine. I've got an older P226, 90's vintage, that I significantly upgraded over the previous winter. Other than it being accurate, uber-reliable, and a joy to shoot, I do not understand why I like it so much.

This is not my experience. I'm a life long engineer therefore prone to over test documentation. My experience is very little variance, in either direction, across quite a large sample set. Best of luck getting your setup baselined.
