Independent Veteran for Kerry here.
I have: IMI Timberwolf .357 and Baby Eagle compact, SA 1911 Operator, .30 Carbine, Styer Mauser a few Dan Wesson revolvers, P7 and some others
while I don't know who DGR is
all you need is a good gunsmith, a $244 barrel from Brownells and a spacer. There is no need real operational need for the spacer as .308 rounds do not creep with serviceable clips and if you were to load a .06 round(s) it would not chamber/bolt would not close...
Berreta Ellite(so-called) II, rounds all over the paper..................... 'cept for that center bit I was aiming at. My issue M9 was WAY more accurate.
You are correct, there is a huge difference between the cyl gap and the ports, as the ports are a non issue and the cyl gap is huge. I've done it (as I said in my last post) so I still say "bogus"/no clue keyboard commando hype.
btw--I am older, and shoot more than most here!
You do...
..............iffin any of you had a nice shorty SKS like my 'Cowboy Companion' there would be alot more votes for the SKS!! With the shorter barrel and no heavy bayo she handles like my M 16 did in the Army. I do have a nice .308 Garand but would quickly bypass it and grab my SKS (with it's...

sorry, I've never delt with a 'professional' firearms instructor, 'cept for our fine US Army DIs--but I do own and shoot a ported .357 Taurus 617T ALOT under 'real' conditions with nary a problem..........as it is my primary carry. (sorry about the actuall expierence-vs-internet commando opnions)
ahoy there dump-gang
Your old pals dude and carlos named the place 'cause of all the whitetrash leaving their crap there!
I don't make it there very much anymore since moving to Bend ..........as there are so many good places to shoot close by. I'll be shooting and fishing in the Steens...
In 19 years of happy P7(s) ownership I have never felt the 'need' to ever dissasemble any of the mags for cleaning. Over-cleaning is the primary cause of P7 troubles/broken parts.
"if I slam it in hard"............!! (!)
All three of my M8 mags (date code IO) load the 8th round as easy as the first. All three of my M13 mags also loaded the 13 round as easily as the first.
Are you using HK factory mags??
