AND NOW FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT!
I know some think Cowboy Action Shooting is a costume party with guns, and that may be a good description. But it has "Action" in it's name, so hopefully this video will provide a moment's diversion, entertainment, perhaps comic relief. This video shows one of the best CAS shooters in action, as he set 4 new world records in September, 2018. Clayton Wisdom competes under the alias "Missouri Lefty", and he won the World Championship in 2016 as a Junior shooter. I am the guy behind the camera.
CAS does have stages in which the shooter moves from one shooting position to another, but the target array for attempting a World Record is a "stand and deliver" stage in which all guns are shot from one spot. Target size and distances are specified and the timer must be shown continuously during the video. The shooter must shoot 5 shots each from two single action revolvers, 10 shots from a lever action rifle, and 4 shots from a shotgun, which must be loaded on the clock. Link to target requirements:

The remarkable thing about this shooter is how he is able to adapt to different shooting styles within a few minutes, and still be able to produce record performance. Gunfighter category allows shooting with a loaded revolver in each hand simultaneously. The three blackpowder category records demonstrate firing a revolver with two hands, like a modern combat style, duelist style, cocking and firing one handed, and using percussion revolvers duelist style in the Frontiersman category. In addition to style versatility, Lefty used his guns for setting the Gunfighter record, but he borrowed my guns for the blackpowder category records to keep his guns from getting dirty! I don't think very many world records have been set with borrowed guns.
So if this description is not intriguing just skip it and go to the next video in the thread. But I hope you will enjoy watching gun handling expertise by a college-age young man, in spite of the fact that he is using old style guns and wearing a cowboy hat!
