AKs really are posessed by Satan!

I actually like that a lot, because it's well-done, interesting, makes it into a conversation piece, and most importantly, does not take away from shootability (much) or durability.

well-done carving, but the rifle itself needs a little touch in order to make it 'work'

From an artisan's standpoint, my hat's off to the carver. Some interesting layout details to accomplish to blend well between the high-relief carved sections and the (semi-) precisely fitted sections. The wood is very nice looking. The carving is certainly well executed. The concept is creative and very original.

Of course, there is no "practical" value in the gun anymore. Showing up on the witness stand with that rifle as "People's Exhibit A" would be as close to damning evidence as you're likely to get out of an inanimate object -- in the eyes of most juries. Shooting it would not probably be as easy and/or comfortable as with a standard stock. It would be unnecessarily heavier than it should be. And it could be very easily damaged from simple range use, let alone field use.

But, as an accessory in a collection of other biker / heavy-metal / fantasy, etc. artwork, it would probably hold value for a fair number of folks.

Not my scene, at all, but it's a helluva lot more intrinsically "valuable" than that Scooby Doo airbrushed shotgun set that was posted a month or two back!

Jeepers! That *is* creepy.

Looks like you could use the gas tube cover as an offensive weapon.

I darn sure wouldn't want to have to shoot someone with it though.

"Ladies and gentleman of the jury, I present Exhibit A."

*gasp*

"Your honor, the prosecution rests."

No...not really. The way I see it, you would have THE perfect alibi.....

"The devil made me do it!"

Great conversation piece (if you want people to think you're psycho)!

What if the AK had the Easter Bunny carved into the furniture?

'Cause Satan is just about as real.

Now if somebody had Osama bin Laden's likeness carved into the stock, I'd question the owner's psyche, but a demon face? Ohhhh - that's sooo scarey.
