I had gone into a gander Mountain in Mentor, OH one time just to browse back in '04, IIRC. I had heard of good reports of the CZ452s up to then and noticed one on the shelf and asked to examine it (a .22 lr 452 American). It was the first American I had examined and read a few posts about a limited run with a Varmint action in an American stock or an Amercian action in a Varmint stock, couldn't remember. Asked about it and the clerk wasn't too sure but he did tout the CZ stating (paraphrase), 'The trigger is as good as an Anschütz's.' Already having a 54.18 MSR, I just smiled and said, "That's a pretty steep claim."
(I didn't pick it up at the time as it was my lunch hour but eventually got a few CZ452s and 453s a couple years later. And no, the triggers are NOT as good as an Anschütz's, not even the 453's. But, the rest of the gun more than makes up for that shortcoming.
