I haven't hunted muzzleloader in a few years and am getting back into it this year. I have 3 Thompson Omega's that I used to use Triple Se7en pellets and Powerbelt bullets in (they all went belly up thus the new Encore). They worked fine but I later heard that once you open up the package of Triple Se7en pellets they start to degrade and that the Triple Se7en was fairly corrosive. I used the same box of Triple Se7evn for years without issue. I never had a misfire but I wouldn't want to chance it when the buck of a lifetime walks out in front of me. I know that certain firearms work better with different ammo and each rifle is different but wondering in general here. This is for Deer hunting.

1.) What are the best muzzleloader bullets for this rifle?

2.) What is the best blackpowder for this rifle?

3.) What 209 Primers do you recommend?

I was looking at using Black Horn 209 black powder because I heard it was very good and not nearly as corrosive as the Triple Se7en and was thinking about sticking with the Powerbelts but am open to suggestions.
