Carry gun(s)

I wouldn't say I "rotate".

My Glock 23 is my main carry weapon on nearly every occasion.

However, I do carry a Beretta 85 from time to time for various reasons.

I have not qualified my other weapons for daily carry, thus they are fun at the range pieces only.

While I don't rotate, I carry whatever pistol accommodates my clothing and weather, which, of course, go hand in hand. I have also carried a specific pistol depending on my activity.

This is my routine as well. I try to carry a pistol with the same manual of arms, except for my HK P7's which I find very natural to shoot.

i guess you could say i rotate because i have a few options and i deviate from my daily carry when i perceive my dress code or the level of threat will be different.

"it had already had 50 rounds through it, so if I had to use it then it already needed to be cleaned anyway. "

great rationale, hahaha.

Is that due to firing & rotating for "freshness", or due to what type of season/clothes you might have to penetrate?
Mad Magyar,
Mostly to make sure the ammo will go bang if ever needed. I usually fire my carry revolver at least once a month so I fire off the ammo that's in the revolver and then load up some "fresh" stuff. I know carrying ammo for only a month doesn't require a change but since I want to practice with my SD ammo monthly anyway, I figure that's a good way to make sure all is well...

Current carry ammo is Remington 158gr LSWC/HP .38 Special +P.

I usually carry two or three Revolvers off duty, but sometimes I switch, due to how I'm dressed, to a 5" 1911 as a "Primary". I also have a Glock 19, but I think I only carried it twice last year off duty.

Today was a 1911 and a J-Frame day. Tomorrow I will be back to a 3" GP100 and a J-Frame. I can't wait until I get my SP101 back from the 'smith. Then it will be a 3" GP100, 2 1/4" SP101 and a J-Frame most days, with about one or two days/month of carrying the 1911 instead of the GP100.

Variety is the spice of life, however, in regards to carry, I don't vary.

Okay, I'm fibbing a bit, I have CS40 that I've carried in lieu of my PT145 a couple times. But the sticky hogue style grip and my excessive love handles don't get along well, particularly in summer heat. So I just stick with the PT145.

As for woods carry, I switch out the PT145 for a S&W 1076 topped with some of Mr. McNett's WFNGC wonders.
