If you paid too much today don't worry, the value will soon catch up.
Put them away and keep them as they are. Some day when a "must have" shooter comes your way you will likely be able to sell one or both for more (sometimes much more) then you paid for them. Then buy what you really want.
The main difference between collectors and shooters is that the former usually have deeper pockets then the latter, and they'll likely pay above market to get exactly what they want in the condition they are looking for.
