Copper bullets: do I care?

Bullet mass and bullet velocity add to recoil equally. For instance a 10% change in velocity or in mass will produce a 10% change in recoil energy.

Eldx is the hunting version and would be more appropriate imo. I would also give the tsgk a try. I really like the accuracy of both of those bullets and the standard game king is no slough either. I shoot them in 30 caliber and we're loaded by the pile for shooting in 30-06 during military bolt matches with my dad. He admitted the smk was probably more accurate but in an old war horse not worth the additional money.

Unfortunately they dont make an ELD-X until 143 gr.
The TGK might be a great solution, but its a 130gr, and that starts to get to the point where youre jamming alot of bullet into the case to get it mag length unfortunately, and depending on the ogive, it may just not run period.
I looked at Berger too for the grins, and they have notta.

Two reasons why I like all copper bullets.

The arrow behind the ear indicated the entrance. The arrow on the belly indicated the exit. Broke the neck and two ribs going into the body cavity. She weight 140lbs live weight.

The bullet as recovered after passing through an additional ~12 inches of Tennessee dirt with lots of chert mixed in. 95% weight retention, loosing just one petal.

This one passed through a raccoon and about 3-feet of forest floor were it was recovered, 100% weight retention.

I took a Texas heart shot on an armadillo with this same 450 BM round, in just above the tail, out past the left ear. Split all nine bands of that nine banded armadillo!

This bullet passed through a larger armadillo with a broad side hit. Bullet was found laying on the dirt just behind the armadillo after pulverizing a softball size chunk of chert imbedded in the 4x4 trail he was shot on. 100% weight retention.

Even though launched at subsonic velocities the REX bullet expands fully in the distance of just the width of a 12oz Gatorade bottle full of water. The exist looked like a dull broad head was shot through the bottle. 100% weight retention.

I am a fan of all copper bullets, they are tough and when launched at the right velocities do wonderful things on the terminal end.

Those maker Rex bullets are awesome. I've only seen them in 300bo but if I found them available for 45-70 I'd probably have to get them just because
