Officers wife, was it so the SO could drop by to try it out, or was just a bit loud??
I lived in rural Oregon, never had a problem with my neighbors, but I did have many problems with people "plinking" in the neighboring X-mas tree feild and other uncontrolled fire, seems we didn't appreciate being a back stop, worst was when a bullet literally zinged (really is more of high pitch whirling sound, very hard to describe) past my head.
Just some "good old boys" trespassing and shooting salamanders on a private pond, happens to be a few houses up the hill like my neighbors where I was playing. They got told to leave, when they resumed firing, they got the fireworks and some shotgun blasts added in for effect. You didn't do that in my part of the woods, especially on a friday evening.
Point being, there is no harm in responsible target practice, even my dad, a staunch Anti, never had a problem.
