65th wedding anniversary
You are far beyond flowers or guns ... ;)

Wife and I have been together going on 29 years and several years back, she asked me to stop buying her flowers as I no longer need to "impress" her. I still take pictures of flowers I would have bought and text her (I used to do several dozen roses arrangements).

I would really have liked a new gun, almost any gun. Unlike flowers you don't have to dump them in the trash after a week.
Wife told me I bought her acreage full of flowers along with 150' redwood trees to "camp" in for retirement.

And for some reason, she ALWAYS KNOWS the exact guns I want to buy ... Uncanny.

If it rains this spring we will have an abundance of flowers, white, yellow, and violet in color. it won't be many weeks until the wild verbinas are in bloom with a little moisture. So far it's still desert dry.

Congrats to you all! Doubt if I live long enough to make 65yrs of marriage 🤪
My 34th is coming, this is our 35th valentine's day. My wife also requested years ago that I not buy cut flowers. Every now and then I still do, but usually I get her something to plant outside, usually a Rose bush or shrub, but this year I got Tulips to replace some the dog killed last year.
She has bought me guns, but not for Valentine's day. This year she's fixing one of our favorites for dinner. Crab legs and potato skins with a Strawberry cobbler.🙂

We are approaching 58 years married, 61 as a couple. A series of surgeries has prevented us from much going and doing but soon. She wants to try out her turkey gun, I want to call in a tom for her.
For now, I will cook, clean, shop, and enjoy the company of the one God chose for me.
Gifts? When we identify a need (or sometimes, a want) we get it for each other. We probably should have spent more rather than holding on for old age. It comes too soon.

I bring flowers home 2-4 times a month. Herself likes them and so do I. In the spring , summer and fall, they are often wildflowers but in winter they are store bought.

Sometimes a handful, sometimes an armful, I arrange them when I get home and they last 10-14 days. I started doing it 32 years ago.

Today is our 65th wedding anniversary. I didn't get my wife roses and she didn't buy me a new gun. I would really have liked a new gun, almost any gun. Unlike flowers you don't have to dump them in the trash after a week. :D A Smith GTX would have been nice on her part.
Modern Women...what can you say??? 🤔

2005 we bought 45 acres of junk. Boy and nephews have helped us make Walnut Hill the Geisz Resort.

Congrats Doubleh.

My wife texted me this pic the other day.

I said "sorry, not into pink guns!" She said it was for her!

Thought it was "cute" to which I reminded her that she just got a Sig 320!

65 years, what are you doing wrong? Seems like the average marriage today by the typical self centered people lasts 6 months or less.

Congrats and Happy Anniversary!

Made the wife some chocolate covered strawberries this morning for V Day. You can’t eat flowers, at least most of them.
