Did you do anything gun related on this Valentines Day?

venison costs us somewhere around $15.00 a pound, and he said, "That's cheap, we figure about 3 times that for ocean caught fish!"
And that's why I got the smaller 18' boat after getting the 21' boat with jet drive.

Wife and I like local rock fish that are caught in 100' deep waters that are 3-4 miles from harbor. With the 18' boat with outboard motor, it just takes a few gallons of fuel for all day fishing and we usually catch our limit for different fish type (Ling cod, rock cod, etc.) within a couple of hours. 18' can accommodate 3-4 people comfortably so cost of fish comes out pretty cheap when you come back with 40-60 lbs of fish. And of course, fresh beer batter fried rock fish is awesome.

Other people I fish with like to go further out around 200' deep and 7 miles out from harbor to fish for halibut that weigh around 30-40 lbs each.

I initially bought the 21' boat to do rock fish/salmon/halibut fishing close to shore but have a friend who used to be a sea captain who wants to go fishing for tuna 30-40 miles out (local tuna weighs around 35-45 lbs) but I don't have sea legs yet so I told him I am staying close to shore for now. But I told him after I finish two vintage Starcraft boats, I will look for a 21'-24' Mako/Proline walkaround with twin outboards ... to go tuna fishing.

So as Hookeye posted, make good decisions in choosing your girlfriend/wife. Your decision could result in decades of happy shooting memories or decades of sad regretful memories"

Conversely, I traded a, not, good, one, for a new firearm hobby.
Great trade.

And often I read, envious, @LiveLife ‘s and @.308 Norma ‘s posts. I am in awe and happy for the both of you. You often have given me small inspirations that an ornery Dadi Bear may not always hibernate alone.:)
I stand in personal awe of Livelife. Whose non- firearms related kindness should be held high in example for all. ( Let alone all his testing and myth busting for the poor layman.)
To you, and all the other Lady’s Men out there.
Well done, Gentlemen!

I dropped the future of my world off at their mother’s house yesterday, and de-primed a hundred 450 Bushmaster cases in preparation for an upcoming shoot.
It is blowing and snowing, but I just put three hundred more rounds through my Buckmark today. Man, that thing shoots. Never any problems.:)
Perhaps next year I won’t be cleaning pistols alone, but it hasn’t worked out that way.

...yet.;)

I am a little late to this one because Thursday evening I had to rush my girlfriend to the ER for trouble breathing. Found out she has pneumonia and valentines day I came down with the flu. She insisted on celebrating Friday and Saturday ended up being one year since we went on our first date so I got her a daisy bouquet, big white bear that had a heart that said 2020, chocolate covered strawberries, and we ate at a very nice restaurant. On Friday an amazon package was delivered and she handed me a set of Bianchi speed strips for my S&W 642. She remembered they were lost several months ago so she replaced them. I was actually shocked that she remembered and bought the correct thing. I usually spend the weekends with her and her mother came over and didn't know what the speed strips were and threw them away along with 10rounds of Gold Dot HP. I am glad she replaced them for me.
