Well I should never go into a gunshop with any money in my pocket it always seems to disappear on me. Couldn't resist myself. Been wanting at least one pistol to shoot 9mm ammo.

Put the following rounds throught it this afternoon.

50 rounds American Eagle 115 gr
50 rounds American Eagle 124 gr

Flawless performance. However now I have to avoid gunshops and start saving again. Nice shooter it will be a back up for my Wilson Compact 45.
My only complaint is I'd like to get one built with the steel frame they use on the 40's. Weight really doesn't bother me any as I carry full size 1911's sometimes instead of the Wilson Compact.

Anyone used any 130 cast LSWC in thier EMP 9mm for practice? I have quite a few of them very similar to a 200gr 45 H&G #68 bullet. Made 3 dummy rounds and they feed just as well as the American Eagle ball ammo I was shooting today.

Nice looking EMP. . . Yeah, they can be a hurt to the wallet. :D

I have one, and it is my carry gun. VERY accurate, . . . which means . . .

...

Congrats on a great gun and investment in a sc SAO 1911 9mm..

I wouldn't worry too much about your aluminum frame letting go anytime soon. And, hopefully, either SA or some independent aftermarket steel frame, up the road, will be offered as your gun goes past the 20k mark, or more, easily.

The only thing that may hasen any frame problems would be +P or +p+ type ammo.

Follow owner's manual recommendations, do's and don'ts and your gun will go the distance..

Mine, from NIB, over a year now, with some 5200 rounds likes any 115gr or 124gr JHP's.. She doesn't like anything heavier in JHP, and I'm fine with that, knowing that she shoots flawless with said ammo.

Enjoy

Shiny!

Nice buy, those keep calling to me from under the glass, too ... but I should probably get a plain-jane 1911a1 first, before I get into the variants and cousins of the original ... that and I have enough things to use up 9mm ammo in.
