At Gun SHow today a vendor (FFL) had a few AR's with lowers that said Delaware Machinery on them, complete rifles for $585. I'm thinking someone is home building them. I looked up Delaware Machinery and it's a "Casting" company.

After a quick search, I saw a few accounts of people saying they had used them with no problems. But at $585, I'd want to look into the rest of the rifles components to be sure they were quality.

Delaware Machinery offers AR15 lowers to a few of the "name brand" builders. They cnc standard 7075 forgings that everyone starts with. They are similar in quality to Aero Precision lowers.

Delaware Machinery has been advertizing these in Shotgun News for a few years.

Went to ask the guy today about the rest of the rifle, upper ect. He says "They are all the same" Think I'll PASS!!!

i hate ppl who say stuff like they are all the same...thats like asking you not to buy it..you can get buy with just about any forged alum. lower but the inside matter...not much of a salesman..its like when i asked a guy what a warranty on a upper and whats the guaranteed moa..wrote about 50 words...his reply was "guaranteed" and that was it..are you trying to sell guns or run your business into the ground...that was at ar15depot.com..dont recommend them obviously..i went to RRA for my custom upper

I think I'm just going to buy an off the rack rifle, at least it'll have some kind of warranty. Everyone has been trying to get me to "Build" my own but it's been 41 years since I even held a M-16 much less took one apart.

I think buying your first rifle is the best move. After you have become familiar with it you can build another one or six.
