Forgive me if I'm incorrect, but it seems that the CZ-75's and copies thereof, especially the Tanfoglios, have been mentioned the most.
My FiL and I both have a lot of service pistols, and the CZ-75 family are our favorites. My FiL might bring his 1911, Beretta 92, Glock 22, Smith & Wesson M&P, Springfield whatever, (and so forth and so on), but if he also brings his CZ-75, he will shoot it better than any of the others.
I can shoot certain revolvers and 22's better than my Tanfoglio 9mm, but certainly not any of my other service pistols.
Every pistol doesn't fit every hand and eye identically, but if it feels good to you, that would be my first recommendation.
I am kind of old, and have shot a whole lot of pistols.
These two cost $330 apiece plus shipping and FFL. They are both Israeli surplus. The only service pistols of mine that I can shoot almost as well are my Sig P-series.
