First Ruger 10/22

Be careful about getting your 10/22 wet.

Mine shrunk!

What scope is that? Bugbuster?

How do you like it?

Yep. I never dreamed I'd buy a UTG scope, but the positive reviews made me try it.

For what I use it for, it's perfect. Longest shot I've made with it was around 120 foot at a moving armadillo. Works good in low light too.

Well that worked out about as well as I could have hoped. I was able to zero the Tech Sights at 100 yards for elevation, confirm windage, and then move back to 50 yards by only moving the front sight. Finding the 5 pronged front sight tool needed for the Tech Sights was the hardest part.

I ran the front sight all the way down for maximum elevation, then fine tuned elevation with the rear sight at 100 yards. To change to 50 yards is 10 clicks up on the front sight. Shots hit just on top of the post at both distances, 1/2”-1” high so I can see what I want to hit. Now to try it out at the silhouette shoot or zombie shoot next weekend.

Is my 10/22 different or do they all have no crown on the muzzle? It’sa sharp corner and shaved a little off my cleaning rod.

A flat crown is still a crown. That said, I haven't run a rod down a .22LR's bore in at least 20yrs. There is no need.

The only 1022 in the house aint mine.
50th Anniv blued/grey lam w Bushnell TRS 25.
It shoots Blazer decent..........is the ol lady's rifle.

She hardly shoots but with that setup off the bench, makes my thumbs sore.
Im constantly loading her mags.
Blasts clays at 50, then picks off the chunks as they lay on the backstop.
She got good FAST with that rig.
Even w cokebottle glasses.

Of course that was a gateway rifle. Now she wants an AR and a Ruger #1.
I didn't buy her 10/22, she did.
She can buy those other rifles too LOL
