Glock Recoil Spring?

So Not sure why but it feels like everytime I rack back my slide once the hood of the barrel goes down when racking back the slide it feels a bit stiff for a second than once it's past that its fine. I tried putting the slide on without the recoil spring to make sure the rails are fine. also the barrel seems fine. Is this the recoil spring doing this? This is a brand new glock. I have field stripped it and cleaned it completely and re lubed it.

It's a G 17 GEN 4, I did drop the slide on cement about 3 FEET off the ground a while back, but I doubt thats the reason

Shoot it and see. Also call Glock. They have excellent customer service.

Go back to the dealer, hopefully he has a range as well but its not completely necessary. Tell him the problem, ask if he could pull a spring off one of the modles or if he has one on hand just to do a manual check. If the action works fine then you have isolated the problem. This will work as well if you know someone else who has a Glock.

Yeah its just the spring hopefully once I put some rounds through it itll wear it. Also I've noticed when I take the slide off the back rails seem to feel a tad rough when trying to take it off like it gets to a certian point when I notice it, but I'm able to get it off without a problem. Looks like they go up a bit when sliding off the frame. Maybe I'm just over worrying.
