It does make you wonder how far up or down the corruption reaches. Will anyone else lose their FOID? It seems to be many of the elitists that were in the BHO circle, according to the news reports.

When I cross the river and go to an Illinois store, my Missouri DL works as a "FOID" card. I was at a gun show in Belleville, and once I produced my Missouri DL , it seemed I got more attention and better service then the Illinois residents. I was free to handle all I wanted.

He has been caught on tape trying to sell the vacant senate seat Obama is leaving behind. He already knows he is being investigated by the Feds. He is looking like a sweet bed of roses for the Anti-gun crowd.
They will distance this guy in a big hurry. Him dropping his FOID is nothing..

the Illinois Governor has been arrested along with his Chief of Staff Harris and transported to FBI Headquarters in Chicago. His FOID card if he didn't turn it in then is now definitely useless to him now.

You know he's hunkered down, amazed, trying to figure who will break his fall. I don't think he can actually conceive of the possibility that he's going to be made to account--that oaths are binding in fact and not just staged for photo ops.
He's probably already hiring a press agent and trying to get advances from publishers on a book deal.

Whoever replaces Daley will be anti-gun, but will probably also not be nearly as stupid. They'll rush through a DC style gun registration so they don't have to fight a court case they can't win, with money they don't have.
An ealier post stated that some firearms companies in Illinois had threatened to move out unless some laws were changed/revoked or if other new restrictive ones passsed.
Les Baer did move... to Iowa, IIRC.
I would love to buy a Les Baer firearm just to show support for a company brassy enough to actually follow through, but I can't drop $1,500+ for 1911 right now.

Illinois doesn't have CCW. We're backwards that way
Illinois DOES allow concealed carry.
1. If you are a Chicago Alderman or the bodyguard of a Chicago Alderman.
2. If you are retired Police Officer who passes mandatory testing.
3. If you are a Code Enforcement Officer on Chicago and some suburbs.
4. Those rules may also apply to the Governor.
I should also add that private citizens may carry concealed weapons on their own property and may carry concealed in vehicles used on their own property.
They may not carry concealed in any public place.
If you look at the laws, Illinois residents may openly carry but this is generally frowned upon as an incitement to invoke.
In other words you are packing openly with the intent to incite trouble so you will get arrested or at least detained in most, if not all, public places here.
A lot of folks asked how he can keep his firearms after his FOID has been revolked, simple, he has a wife who also has a FOID card.
Any of his children who live in the house and have a current FOID card can also claim possession of any firearms in the house.
He hasn't been convicted so technically he may also keep possession of his firearms until proven guilty.
He just can't go wandering around with the guns, nor can he buy any other firearms or ammunition for the time being.

If you walk into a gun store in Illinois and ask to see a firearm in the case, they will ask to see your FOID card. They can't even let you handle a firearm unless you have a FOID. How stupid is that?

Mass has a FOID=firearms owners identification card.you lose/taken your card in Mass you have to get rid of your guns.It also has PTC=permit to carry.
plus "A" and "B" and spray cards.
