Handguns you'd like them to make

A 12" Smith and Wesson 586 revolver,in .357 magnum.

Basically a longer-barrelled version,of the standard model-in order to comply with the stupid UK fireams legislation.

In saying that a 10" or 10.5",with a few modifications,will be okay,anyway.

4. Hk P7 squeeze cocker in 45, but not as blocky and unbalanced as the .40 S&W version...
This is my dream gun as well. I absolutely LOVE the P7M8 in terms of feel, accuracy, quality of trigger, and general "coolness." But I'd much rather have a single-stack .45ACP rather than a single-stack 9x19mm.

All I want is a mid or full framed .22LR plinker with a decent sized magazine. If you took something with a 1911 sized frame and built a double stack .22LR magazine, how many rounds do you think you could stuff in there? 20, 25, 30? That would be fun.

Any handgun with the,"modularity", of the AR's design

Able to shoot .380, .45 ACP, 9mm, and .40 S&W, all off the same frame, while being able to change barrel length ,caliber, or simply configuration just by switching slides/uppers...

Want more capacity? Change it to 9mm..Want more power? Change to .40 or 45! Want to go low profile/deep concealment, and have capacity? Go .380 with a short slide, and short mag. The finger grooves or contours would be built into the magazine. The magazine well on the actual"receiver/lower" of the pistol would be very short(only support maybe one or two fingers) until one of the mags was inserted. I hope that makes sense, and don't ask me how this would work:eek: :D !! Still 2 Many Choices!?

Great thread, and LOTS of interesting suggestions. I hope some of the Firearms manufacturers are looking!

I'd like a 5 shot 45 ACP, double action, hammerless, snub nosed revolver ( Stainless please ) in a package smaller than a Smith N frame...and no silly ass lock!

I'd like to see the 1911 makers start offering models in the .50 GI. It seems like a great cartridge, but to the best of my knowledge, only one maker is offering guns for it so far and they run close to $3,000. It might be the logical step up from .45 ACP if it was more available and afordable.

HK p9s reinstated, but this time with a 22 cal conversion.
a p7 series with a bit less weight
Ruger old army saa in 357. mag. with the 9mm conversion

Ruger, they already make the SRH Alaskan in 44 Mag, now they need to make a 4" Redhawk or Super Redhawk in 44 Mag so I don't have to try to find a pre-lock, pre- MIM 629 Mountain Gun. PLEASE

9mm Revolvers!

Yep. I shoot piles and piles of 9mm in different autos, and once in awhile load something that doesn't properly feed or something in autos... would be nice to have something in about 4" revolver with moon clips, adjustable sights like a Smith 686, something about 3" fixed sights like S&W M36. Throw in a cylinder bored for 9x23 so I can shoot my Largo ammo that way too. If you're gonna wish, may as well wish for what you'd really like, huh?:D

A Ruger SBH bisley hunter in 480 or 454
GP100 frame S&W trigger 4 in bbl 44 mag 5 shot
A 22lr converson kit for Ruger p seris
GP100 in 22 and 32 H&R
Remake the Lemat in 357 mag and have the other bbl be 45lc/410
Redhawk with 3 or 4 inch bbl in 44 mag
357 max in GP100 or Redhawk

one shot one kill

Not a pistol, but I'd like to see a dead-nuts reliable high cap snail drum made for the Ruger MkII pistols.

Another not a pistol, but I'd love to see an M1 Carbine in 10mm and also available in .357 Sig and 7.62x25. -FNR.

I'd like to see someone start producing the Bren Ten or Perigrine Falcons and their variants once more, only with a frame-mounted de-cocker. Preferably in 10mm, .40S&W, .45ACP, and .357SIG just to capture more of the market.

Compelled to revive an oldish thread :)

In looking for one of my past posts for another reason, I ran into Magyar4's reply in this thread:
"I'd like a 5 shot 45 ACP, double action, hammerless, snub nosed revolver ( Stainless please ) in a package smaller than a Smith N frame...and no silly ass lock!"

I'd accept the lock in trade for being able to find such a thing in the first place :) That's an oughtta-make gun I'd never thought of. Small enough to carry in-pocket, with the same ammo as the largest subset of my (few) other pistols ...

a 10mm P-Series from Ruger. Don't change anything about it other than what you must for the 10mm auto.

The Ruger P-Series pistols are built like tanks. I don't think they'd need to change too much. :D I would also like to see a Ruger 10mm, and a Ruger 1911. Or even both rolled into one...

- An accurate pistol in .17 Hornady Mach 2
- A seven shot Ruger GP100 .357

I think in rifles people prefer the .17 HMR or the .22 WMR, so the .17 HM2 is losing out there, but I think the real niche for the .17 HM2 is the Plinking/Target Pistol. The .17 HM2 is far more accurate than the .22LR and the dimensions are the same. I know Ruger tried to create a Mark III conversion and failed because something wasn't strong enough, so it's time to make something that works.

1. colt delta elite 10mm in a commander size and officer size.

But with an AL or "scandium" frame, please. The only thing that keeps me from buying a Dan Wesson 10MM CBOB is the (heavy) steel frame.

I'm not convinced a steel frame is necessary, even for 10mm.
