North knew enough to keep his mouth shut. Maybe that was because he was military and knew exactly where he stood. Holder has already been told once by the Dems to shut up regarding the AWB.

I doubt that Holder will last through to November.
 
What really boggles my mind is there are so many firearm owners who will vote to keep this guy in office.
I remember him saying the same thing in early 2009.

The fools that voted the 'package deal' in are seeing what they have done. Sadly it's still a heated race this far out.

As to the AWB, if this is the first you've heard of it, you weren't paying attention when this was ON OBAMA'S VOTING RECORD WHEN HE WAS A SENATOR, HE CAMPAIGNED ON THE IDEA, AND IT WAS ON THE WHITE HOUSE WEBSITE!!!

BUT consider that this president FUNNELED GUNS TO MEXICAN NARCO-TERRORIST AND THEN WENT ON A MEDIA BLITZ remember O'bangy and Mexican President Fox doing the JOINT news conference on boarder violence and putting out that 90% of the 17% of gun gun forwarded to the ATF for SN trace by the Mexicans (and most of them were from US MILITARY AID)

Sorry, but, I doubt the NRA could dream of something this messed up, really I don't understand why they aren't swinging off the chandelier screaming at the top of their lungs.

Amazing there are folks like you, who are supposed 2A defenders (are you?), with heads in the sand. You really don't think this administration would want more gun control at first opportunity?

Care to explain how thousands of people misinterpreted a direct quote stating the president and atty gen were still in favor of an assault weapons ban? Its hard to hear anything but a declaration of fact in that statement. I don't believe anyone misunderstood what was being said.
 
Holder's statement is a de facto admission that the intent of F&F was to be an excuse for making and end-run around the Constitution. Does anyone else think that finding the weapon used in Terry's murder was "dropped" at the scene?

That alone can only lead to one of two conclusions. He's either as dumb as a bag of hammers or the anti factions in our government have become so arrogant that they don't feel the need to conceal their agenda any more. I have to go with the second conclusion.

They've put the nation on notice that they'll find a way around the Bill of Rights...one right at a time...even if it costs lives. Be afraid, my friends. Be very afraid.

Rahm Emanual was one of the architects of the AWB along with Dennis Burke, who in Oct 2009 was put in charge of the US Attorney Office that oversaw Operation Fast and Furious which was started Nov 2009.

there was a rumor that F&F was in part a pay off to the Sinoloa cartel for info and assistance against other cartels.
 
Here's my F&F end-game prediction.

On the unlikely chance that Holder will be indicted, he'll probably never see the inside of a courtroom. On the unlikely chance that he does, there's an even smaller chance that he'll be convicted. On the tiny chance that he's convicted, a presidential pardon will be forthcoming after a cursory period of time spent grandstanding for the public. If Obama loses in November, a deal will be made...as a professional courtesy *wink wink* with the new boss. Remember that one of Gerald Ford's first official actions was to pardon Nixon for the Watergate scandal.

In 6 months, it'll all be forgotten, and John Q. Public will go back to American Idol and Jerry Springer.

Of course, this is all contingent on Holder running interference for his boss, and not letting the buck land on his desk. Holder can't drop the ball.

Not me. The last AG who went to jail was former Nixon AG John N. Mitchell. Nixon forgot to give Mitchell a pardon and he went to jail in 1977 for crimes related to the Watergate scandal.
 
So let's say for one horrible moment they ban assault rifles again. Will they also ban the ammo, as it's used in hunting rifles also, and any gun can be converted if the money is there. In other words a lot of small companys, will develop a conversion kit for 223, to say 243, with not much engineering genius other than re chambering and changing the barrell and magazine. What would they do with owners of exhisting weapons that fall into the assault weapon catagory, we have seen them turned into 9mm, etc, it would seem that they, "the govt", would want the rifles themselves optimally. And thats never going to happen. There would suddenlly be millions of gun thefts if they tried that. And some states don't keep records on who has what anyway, most of my original guns have been traded of sold off in a 40 year period, I don't have 1 original gun left that I bought. So it would likelly affect "new gun" sales. Most folks already have what they want, or as mentioned have time to purchase them now. Ginesburg said last week, that she was working with and old document, "in a discussion with the Egyption president", and how she envied the fact that the Egyptian constituion, was more modern and up to date than our old thing. In my eyes a supreme court justice should be fired on the spot for eluding to the constitution as out of date.
 
We need to focus efforts on having Holder removed from office rather than Obama. The GOP field is very WEAK and we are most likely going to have Obama for second term. The Fast and Furious operation must be mentioned so frequently and so loudly that there is no other option than to disgrace Holder from office.
 
Just one more leftist Supreme Court justice is all Obama needs. Even if Holder is impeached, which isn't likely, Obama would just appoint another leftist AJ.
 
IMO, this is a large portion of what the upcoming Presidential election is all about. SUPREME COURT JUSTICE NOMINATIONS. Obama will get at least one, and maybe two during his next term, and it will change our Constitution and gun rights forever.
 
Remember Holders' words and Obama's actions come election time. What goes around, comes around, and your vote will speak volumes concerning these two Socialists.
 
As a recent NRA newsletter pointed out, many liberals want to replace our Constitution altogether. Especially the first and second amendments. Obama showed this with Obama care and with his attempt to disregard religious freedom over birth control. Both the administration and courts are steadily assuming powers not granted by the Constitution.
