How bad were you at the gun store for Black Friday - Cyber Monday?

Didn't need anything specific and refuse to buy just because it's a great deal. I had intended to buy a Glock 43 for my wife but wasn't actively pursuing it.
Then a local store was offering a tax free weekend this weekend (the store actually pays the sales tax), and I just stopped to check their inventory. They had just got their only 43 in. I said I would consider buying it and the sales person pointed to a sign that said 10% off all firearms. So I bought it and my Christmas shopping is done.

I bought lunch and a gallon of gas for the chain saw. I see no big thing with either Friday or Monday no matter which week they fall on. Looked on line but did not find anything worth handing cash over for, no more so than a regular sale IMHO.

In store:
4 metal ammo cans
1 case of 12 gauge 7.5 shot shells

Online:
2 Plano sportsman's lockers
200 .257 rifle bullets
1000 .224 rifle bullets
100 rounds 22WMR ammo
1 holster for my S&W 686 2.5"
1 padded handgun rug

I've been thinking about a Glock 19. A local gun store had a Black Friday price of $549 on a Talo gen 4 Glock 19 with AmeriGlo tritium sights. I was not sure if that was a great price and thought I would do a bit of research and maybe come back and purchase it later, but I got busy and kinda forgot about it until Friday evening, when I looked online and decided that $549 was a good price from a LGS. I called the place on Saturday morning and explained that I had been in on Friday and asked them if the price was still good. Counter guy on the phone says "good question, let me check". He came back on the phone and said "no, that price was only good yesterday". Okay then, thanks for checking. Bye.

I purchased an as new (30 rounds fired) gen 5 Glock 19 with Trijicon night sights plus 3 additional factory mags for $610 (+$20 transfer) from a member on another forum and picked it up yesterday.

I try to support my local gun stores when I can, but they can sure make it difficult.

I’m as addicted to gunbroker.com as Aunt Mary is to the QVC channel. And some great auctions can be found at times when the rest of the world is occupied. Like Thanksgiving Day.

Lol, I do that too, if there is a big news story taking up everyone's attention.... time to see if there are any good no reserve auctions coming to an end.

I didn't buy anything over Thanksgiving weekend. I have cash in hand and I'm in the market for another hunting rifle, but I'm holding out to see if anything neat comes out at SHOT.

Same here.:)

I did not even leave the house on Black Friday. No way, no how was I going to get in that mess. I did cyber order some material to repair the pranged running board on the horse trailer from my wife's last outing with the Dartmoor ponies.

To stay on subject, we have a gun show here every year on the weekend after Thanksgiving. Never super duper but a good escape from the shopping mall crowds. I found a nice S&W Model 624 this year.

Rather disappointed with Black Friday. Visited my sister-in-law in Indiana over Thanksgiving. She has been contemplating getting her first
semi, a Glock 43, for over a year. We go to Rural King, a local hardware store that sells firearms, and they advertised the 43's for $399. Sold out. Also advertised a Remington rifle in .308 that I thought would be good. Sold out. Observed many other potential buyers ask about sale items & were told they were sold out. Granted, maybe we should have been there at 7 a.m.

Nothing on Black Friday 'cause I was saving up for a gun show on Saturday. The gun show only turned up some ammo for my Mannlicher 95/30. So I went to my LGS, where they pulled out a very nice Remington M1903. It's now on lay-away.
I'm happy.

22lr, 22wmr, 25acp, 32acp, 38 wadcutter. ruger sr22 mags. makarov lanyard. all bought online: ammo from cabelas and sg.com, accessories from ebay.

Cabelas had a 3X9 X 40mm Luepold https://www.leupold.com/scopes/rifle-scopes/american-marksman-3-9x40 for sale at $150.00. I thought that was a deal. I want to replace a 1X4 scope on a Ruger #1. While I was there, they had a range finder for a $120.00. Never had a range finder before. I was out in the yard, out in the street measuring things.

Then they had Rock Island GI M1911's for sale for $399.00. The display model was incredibly tight. It took two days to talk myself into it, and a $100.00 gift card, and I got to select the "best" Rock Island out of three......

I picked up four (15 round) boxes of Winchester 1oz slugs @ local Dick's sporting goods. Buy one get one 50% off. Also had a rebate, $6 per 15 round box (max $20) if you send the upc and original receipt.
Still don't know in what safe place I stashed the receipt....

2 Anderson lowers @$49 each felt like a good deal for no shipping or transfer fees.

I kind of lost my mind this year, I bought a Marlin 1894C 357, a Freedom Ordinance FX-9 9mm "AR" pistol, 3 red dots, PA, UTG, and Aim (part of the deal with the FX-9), some ammo, and a couple of tools. Al together, I've bought a lot of guns in 2017, and only sold one, and I took a major hit on it.
