How many of you regularly carry a pistol?

Been carrying the g19 for the most part since I picked it up, and last week got a Blackhawk IWB holster, which has made carry somewhat better. Like it so much I just got for the Taurus snubbie as well. Really comfy. Have had my permit since 1996, except for a brief period where I let it lapse. Also carried on duty for a while, and always had my go bag with me when working.

So normally, I carry all the time, but sometimes I go without a firearm. Almost always carry a knife. Either a Gunsite Cold Steel or a S&W Urban ops combat folder.

Everywhen I can

I'm not allowed to carry @ work. S'ok. But I carry everywhere else I go. I have been carrying since the day I turned 21 and bought my first pistol (My SigPro 2340). I carried it openly until I got my CCW shortly down the road. Since then I've carried everywhere it was legal.

In Arizona we can't carry into any establishment that serves Alcohol. So I've changed where I eat. There are still two resturaunts I have to leave it in the car for but I'm working on my wife not to take me there anymore!

I have a valid CCW license, and carry a handgun on a daily
basis; NO EXCEPTIONS. You see, early on in my law enforcement carrer
I worked within a male maximum security penal institution; spending the
last 2.5 years assigned to the Death Row unit; before moving on too an
outstanding LEO carrer with a major, upscale police department. Here in
Alabama, felons are released by court order in droves; and some of the
very one's I kept watch over have hit the streets, thanks too our fine
Governor Mr. Bob Riley.

Trouble is, the vast majority of these felons would reconize me, before
I would reconize them~! So to answer your question correctly, YES I
do carry a firearm on a regular daily basis for self preservation. Like all
of us here at The High Road, I hope I never have too use it; but its
there if I ever need it.

Since I'm now retired, my weapons of choice are a .45 caliber Kimber
Stainless Ultra Carry II, and a Smith & Wesson model 642 .38 Special;
of course backed-up by either a Seecamp LWS-32 or a KEL-TEC P3AT.

I carry when I leave my house almost all the time, except for work. No guns allowed there.

I carry everyday, to the office, coming home and ESPECIALLY whenever with the family. I've had my concealed permit approximately 8 years and carry a Kimber Pro Carry, a Glock 19 and even a Beretta .25 ACP at times (there's a Smith & Wesson 642 on order as well). Unless I'm going to court, I have my gun with me. I also carry a nice Spyderco knife which I call my "dress" knife and when I'm not carrying that, it's a Gerber Rex Applegate combat folder that opens up to a comfortable 10 inches. I also keep a small Surefire flash light in my truck as well as my wife's SUV. My wife thinks I'm paranoid, but deep down inside she enjoys a feeling of safety like no one else she knows.

The only times a gun is not on board is when I'm at either of my jobs. I normally leave my clothes on when I'm relaxing at home, until bedtime, so the roscoe just reamins in the holster on my britches until I hop in bed, when it goes onto the nightstand.

When Do I carry?

All the time where legal. I live in CA. So around the house my Glock 19 is in my bianchi paddle holster, no belt needed. Also at the apartment building I own.

I have applied and expect to recieve my Utah & Florida CCW in the next 30 days, will allow me to carry in 32 states. To avoid illegal carry in CA I will begin my training as an LAPD reserve officer. They are issued CCW's and LAPD ID's so I'll feel very confident to carry concealed then. Until then it is locked in the trunk in a locked bag with a loaded magazine nearby but not attached.

Forever and always.

Come to think of it, even wore it to the wedding, then again even the organist carried.

I carry a large amount of the time. When away from home I understand that my personal saftey is in my hands and no one elses so if I'm serious about protecting my family and myself I should be armed. Additionaly in my own home if there is a loaded firearm about the the most safe place to keep said same is on my person then it is under my control and I know that the firearm is not being mishandled.

The hidden question in CCW is not should I or should I not but am I willing and able to shoot and possibly kill another person to protect me and mine ?

All the time, everywhere

Every where I go except at LANL or SNLor if I go anywhere else government or to the cop shop. I even still cary into Walmart even though it is supposed to be posted I have never seen the posting technically it is not posted.
