How many of you regularly carry a pistol?

I carry every day.
Usually a 1911 backed up a Kel-Tec .380.

It isnt always convenient (or possible) to keep the 1911 on me at all times, but I can take it off and drop it in my briefcase during the day, and no one is going to notice the little Kel-Tec--not ideal, but it beats throwing rocks.

Only while in the woods or on the farm. Usually a large revolver in a shoulder holster. Occasionally a small revolver in the front jeans or coat pocket.

Everywhere but work or church or on-post. It's pretty much always in my car regardless. (Except I am very careful on post, when I know I'll be going on post, I leave it at home.)

I use a Galco Miami Classic shoulder rig, a fanny pack, and I'm thinking I need a Milt Sparks IWB for my 1911. Two spare mags, but I might drop one mag for a surefire flashlight. I take it off when I go to bed.

When do I carry?

Anytime I am not inside my own home. A .45 w/11 rounds in it and another ten round mag on me. Inside the house there's the 10mm Witness with sixteen 175 gr WW Silvertips, my Mossy w/5 #4 buck and at the very least a 9mm loaded in every room of the house where I can reach it immediately. Been packing since 1957 when I turned eighteen.

I carry. I've got four guns that I consider to be carry pieces.

1. Taurus PT1911
2. Springfield Armory Defender Model (basically a Mil-Spec)
3. Kel Tec P32 (backup to either one of the .45s)
4. S&W Model 10, 4". My original carry gun, carried recently for the first time in a long time, after the taurus broke, before I found the springer, didn't feel nearly as confident, since I haven't practiced shooting a DA Revo in about 3 years.

Usually, I carry one of the .45s and the .32. Occasionally, I might carry only the .32, but that's rare. Only time I'm unarmed is in a cop shop, or bar.

As far as sleeping goes, when I go to bed, my boots come off, one of them gets tossed out into the middle of the floor, and the other one gets the .45 inserted. It stays within arm's reach.

I follow the signature line of a friend who posts on this and other forums..."Carry 24/7 or guess right".

Get a permit, carry always.

I'm a new CCW permit holder (just got it last Thursday) and have since carried wherever legal except for church. I cannot carry to work past the parking lot (I must leave it in the car, locked up), otherwise I'd land a nice spot in Club Fed.

I don't leave the house without, at minimum, a handgun. Never. Ever.

It's not a matter of choice for me. I, and only I, am responsible for my safety and the safety of my family. The police are for reports and toe tags; trust them to save your life at your own risk.

I carry any where I am legally allowed to. I'm a vet and a goverment employee so there are times such as going on base or at work where I can't carry.

Everywhere I legally can----everyday. Being retired allows me to be armed almost anywhere I go. If I have to visit a restricted area(i.e. no weapons allowed), it stays locked in the truck with my 127lb. "best buddy" standing guard. He's been trained to discourage unknowns from getting too close to the truck.

I have a gun nearby most of the time, but haven't found the right combination of gun and holster to carry 24/7 in my current dress attire.

I carry everywhere I legally can (which means everywhere but church). At work, I pocket carry a Keltec P3AT, as I can't get away with anything larger. I mostly pocket carry in the summertime, either the P3AT or a Kahr MK9, when it is too hot for a concealing garment. Other than that, I use an inside-the-waistband holster, usually with the CZ P-01, but sometimes the MK9.

I always have at least 1 spare mag with me, in left rear pocket in a mag pouch for the P3AT/MK9 or on my belt in a mag pouch for the P-01.
