I can not clearly focus on the Magpul Flip-up Polymer AR front sight. It remains fuzzy and is too coarse for me.

I use homemade target that I have drawn 1" squares on with a black 4" square bullseye. This target works well for my other long guns as it lets me adjust my sight exactly wear the I want my groups to print. The Magpul blade covers 4" at 25 yards making sighting difficult. I made up targets with 6" black square but I am still having trouble.

I do not problems focusing on the metal front sight post on the military style Tower Sight. I don't know why except the corners of the metal post are sharper and more distinct.

I use the aperture rear sight blade not only on my AR's but other rifles as well and don't have any problems getting good groups. Just must be something about my eyesight. So I am asking for suggestions for a metal folding front sight. It only needs to be adjustable for elevation. I am willing to buy a front and rear combo set.

Probably more of the fixed distance from your eye to the post than post (perhaps astigmatism) size or shape. I seriously doubt any aftermarket front sight post replacement such as a chevron, crosshair, etc will be an improvement regarding sharpness of object.

The average A2 type front sight post is .070-.072" wide. Blitzkrieg offers one .040". Or you can file your existing one down thinner than that.

Or you can "lollipop" the front sight where your aimpoint has your "target" sitting atop the post so that the target itself is not obscured.

I can't hit the lollipop if I can't see the stick.

Daniel Defense, but it is not foldable.

I am reconsidering Daniel Defense. I have been considering their rear sight for another build. They certainly are rugged and not that much more expensive than Magpul's. Do you know if they are co-witness with optics?

Troy sights are very nice but (gasp) $$$.
