Didn't post much, but I lurked for years. Now I kinda wish I posted more often. Don't know what ya got until you loose it?:(

Allow me to take this opportunity to thank Rich for four years of TFL and Oleg for continuing the "feel" of TFL here at The High Road.

Thank you, gentlemen.

Why did that place shut down anyway? I was never a lurker or poster there...
In fact, I have never been a 'lurker' anywhere. I came in to the Sig forum, and later this forum, knowing so little about firearms in general that I asked (and am still asking, occasionally) a bunch of noob questions.

You can still return to TFL and use the search function for any firearm question. As far as why Rich Lucibella (the owner) shut it down, you'll be able to read that answer in his own words by using that same search function. I'm sure his days are still fairly busy, as he became the owner and publisher of SWAT Magazine, once TFL's doors were shuttered.

Yep, we all miss Rich and others over at TFL. But with
fine folks like Oleg, Derek, Mal H, and others (too many
to name individually) THR hasn't missed a beat. These
people work OT to keep this site up and running!

Oops! I forgot the very excellent moderator and hard
working Preacherman! His efforts and contributions
alone make me keep coming back. Stand up and take
a bow, my friend!

In closing, I think its a tribute to the out-standing
membership as well. We have some mighty fine ladies
and gentlemen on our roster.

Respectfully,
Ala Dan, N.R.A. Life Member

THR carries on the proud tradition of intelligent and thoughtful gun owning discourse. This place and TFL are truly gems and we are lucky to have them!

Havent stopped back in at TFL in a week or two......cool to see that they upgraded the site to VB3 software.

I lurked at TFL for a year and never posted. Like TFL, THR is one outstanding site. I really appreciate the vast storehouse of knowledge and experience that is here. Do you know, for example, there are 40 PAGES referencing "SKS" in the Rifle Country section alone? Who knew?

Another thing I really appreciate about THR is that there are no funky 'avatars', and that everything is easy to read. Have you been to a site with garish colors, like red on black, or green on yellow, then come back to THR. It's like your eyes were about to explode.

Thank you Oleg and all the moderators who do such a great job.

My "Molon Labe" hat is off to you :)
