This should be fun. Name a gun you always thought you wanted until you actually got to shoot one. Mines easy. Always wanted a Krinkov, thought they were just the cats meow. AK cool and all that extra. Finally shot one. Loud ain't the word!!!!! Still admire their cool factor but don't think its for me. You're turn :cuss:

I wanted a full auto Uzi and bought one, but found that full auto really ain't that big of a deal and wound up not shooting it much. Did sell it for a healthy profit though. :)

Glock 23, too uncomfortable for me. Also made me finalize that a .40 in a polymer gun just isn't for me.

A Ruger SP101. Bought it as a do-it-all handgun, then decided that owning a few is better than just one.

Mauser HSC in .380. I found one in it's original box with an extra mag and thought I had found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I took it out and it jammed alot. I got through half a box of ammo and the pin holding the trigger group in broke in half. I took it back to the store, got my money back.

Makarov. Mine is one of the "Collectors Edition" ones with the fat wood grips. The thing is just plain unpleasant to shoot. I would rather shoot my 44 Mag or my son's .480 Ruger, or even H&H's .470NE than that nasty little gun.

I need to list it for sale here.

ar 15 i always wanted one finaly when i had the money i traded in a mini 14 toward a bushmaster a3m4. i think i bought this in 2007 and have only fired it maybe 5 or 6 times. i just found it to be boring but since i shot one in basic i always wanted one. which is also why i have a hard time with the idea of selling it even though i don't shoot it.

Some people are probably going to call me nuts on this one, but an AK. Shot my buddies, and hated everything about it. Didn't fit me, didn't like how it felt when I fired it, everything.

PS 90 in 5.7X28. Drooled over them as soon as they were announced and pulled a favor to get one when they first came out. Took it to the range and hated everything about it. Ergonomics were all wrong for me and I really disliked the sight system. Been sitting in the safe for years now.

That reminds me. I need to sell that thing so I can buy a gun I'll actually shoot.

Let's see...

A Charter Arms Mag Pug .357... the story here is that I needed a conceal piece for a couple of weeks while mine was on the way (moving.) So it wasn't specifically something I thought I wanted, but I still hated it. After about 100 rounds through it, the guts bound up and it had to be repaired.

Walther P-22. After I found out that Ceiner made a 22 conversion kit for my Beretta 92FS, I got rid of the Walther.

Ithaca M37 shotgun. That one I was real proud of... until I tried to fire, well, anything through it. After a week of polishing the chamber, I got mad and sold it and bought tires for my truck. My tires have yet to jam.

A stainless 1911. Bought an AMT, one of the very few that were made back then. Big mistake, but Colt started making stainless ones, so the AMT was sold in favor of a Colt, and it's still my favorite weapon.

.45-70 barrel for my Contender. Another big mistake.

Dunno...most of the guns I have I inherited. The only three I've bought were a PLR 16, PTR 91, and AK. But of the ones I inherited, the only one's I don't really have any need for are a winchester 30-30 and some 12 gauges. I've always like 20 gauges better, and although the 30-30 definitely has the "cool" factor, it won't kill anything my .270 won't kill

1911. Beautiful, but they don't fit my hand at all. The grip safety gives me fits as my hand doesn't always fully press it down. I own a Springer 1911 on the theory that everyone should own at least one 1911 but I rarely shoot it.

All of these problems are easily fixed. It wouldn't take that much and it might turn into your #1 gun.

Dragonuv/PSL, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Something always whispers "buy me first". (930 SPX, Saiga 12, 1911 Officers and now a 1911 9mm RIA have been the latest offenders...yeah, poor me.)

A 50 caliber. Now, my friend is overseas in the military and I am holding onto his Serbu BFG-50 for him. Now I realize how impractical they are. At least $2000 for the gun and 4 bucks per round. Not for me!
