Was able to put 250 rounds through it today at the range. Very impressed! I can tell a difference in recoil and weight right off the bat. And oddly enough, the trigger feels different from my old 365. It’s a tad heavier and not as mushy or have a lot of take up. Scared to put my flat trigger in it on, hope it still feels the same weight wise.
Pros:
1) Lesser recoil. My hands normally hurt after just 50 rounds with a small pistol, damage and RA is starting to take its toll. Mine didn’t hurt at all shooting the 365/380. And it didn’t move around in my grip, even without a death grip. Double taps were automatic. One big problem I had with my old 365 in 9mm was it just moved around due to the small grip. I had to choke it hard to stay put and I cause many malfunctions, like locking the slide back or dropping mags. The 380 chambering seems to stopped that for me.
2) Lighter weight. I pocket carry mostly, like 90% of the time. Weight is a limiting factor for me. The G42 was about the heaviest pistol I can pocket carry. The 365/380 is just couple ounces heavier and I think it’s very doable. The old 365 is too heavy for me and shorts.
3) Very accurate. This isn’t just a “get off me” pistol. I’m getting great groups at 10 and 15 yards. Keeping everything in the “T” area of the head area. Very natural pointer for me. Even better than my G42. I will take it out to 20 and 25 yards when better sights and the 407k gets here.
4) Optics ready! Have a green 407K V2 on the way. Old damaged eyes need help. Plus, the back sight remains on the 380 version.
5) Quality built! Doesn’t fill like most 380 pistols. This is a proven design, after some birthing pains, and it’s built to last. No cheap feel to it.
Cons:
1) Sights. I’m not a fan of the Sig sights on theses. It’s a personal thing, my eyes don’t like rear and front sights the same color and shape. I like blacked out sights, grew up shooting target K Frames. Will be getting some Defoors or another all black out set.Especially if I’m going to pocket carry one of these. Will leave the RDS and XL grip module on another for belt carry.
‘Overall, I’m tickled with my new 365/380. Will put it up against my G42 soon.
