Biker, you can't complain about RUBS until you move to Cali

I'm almost ashamed to ride my FXR because I don't want to be associated with the "bikers" here in town. One Sunday I sat outside a coffee shop for over an hour, watching the same guy on his factory "chopper" cruising up the street every 5 minutes. He didn't care about the sun or riding through the Redwoods he just wanted everyone to see how bad he was on his bike.

Of course in Tillamook, OR I lived right across from the fairgrounds when they hosted a Gold Wing event, I wanted to run out in the street and knock over the next guy I saw with neon lights on his bike. About every 5th bike had some kind of thing that made a sound like a frog croaking, I'm still trying to figure that one out 3 years later:confused:

Don
proud owner of an 88 Rustglide!

I'm more amazed by the fact that, while trying to talk a girl into a date over the phone, he spotted a target, grabbed a rifle, moved into position, and took out the varmint. And that she didn't find that odd ;)

I think you scared the guy and he didn't know how to respond except with anger. Some people are like that.

I don't blame the biker for getting ticked. You know how hard it is to get the pee smell outta those leather chaps and his hydraulically controlled custom seat?

The day that Harley riders and Ricers quit messin' with each other will be a sad day indeed. Good God man, we're talkin' tradition!
Since I have been riding a BMW for the last 20 years, do I get to mess with both groups? :D

Thank you for enlarging my limited vocabulary..

You sent me to Webster's with "irenic".

Best Wishes,

shes a quality gal ;) loves to shoot and has already told me that my high power is no longer mine....

I think the real moral of the story is never bring a Honda to a gun fight.

Biker:neener:

some states have laws relating to shooting within a certain distance of public roads, houses etc. are you sure you weren't breaking the law?

A) It's a Honda Leadwing ( heh eh) and not loud at all.
b) It's a Leadwing - he's not a "biker".
c) Don't matter what a man rides, he's allergic to lead.

I was gonna say, Goldwing = Lincoln Town Car with two wheels, AKA "Elderly Retiree Criuser". :D

But as to calling all Hondas not real bikes...you've never seen a Valkyrie?

Or how about the Valkyrie Rune? 1870cc, I believe, V6. And yes, it's a Honda. Here.

Some Hondas are worthy of respect. :)

It's all in the heart, man. But that don't mean that I ain't gonna talk some stuff!:)
Damn, that's a bunch o' bike. Bet she moves...
Biker

The only cool goldwings I've ever seen was when some Black Bike riders association had their yearly national bike get together at the fairgrounds down the road from me. I saw some really cool pimped out Hondas in my area. Some of them had guns to, and unfortunately there was a shootout at the event.

If you had to put up with being heckled all the time, for ridin' a 'wing .... you'd probably have an attitude too. :D

I will say however .... if I were ever tempted to throw a leg over anything but an HD, it would have to be something similar to that scoot in the pic that Manedwolf posted.

BULE JAYS :neener:

This is what gets me to work every day :D I do get some funny looks but when I tell them it gets 115 MPG they stop laughing. Oh, and if you are wondering why the flag is down while it is still daylight, we had some thunder storms come through.

Oh, Biker, I started riding bikes at age 10 with a YZ60, 26 years later I have had many bikes, both street and dirt, my last one before the scooter was a 91 Sportster, 883 lower with screaming eagle 1200 sport (dual plug) top end, 2 inch drag pipes with torque cones, screaming eagle ignition, heads tuned and ported by Carl Palletier here in town. It would pack the front wheel through all 5 gears. Sold it after I got married for the down payment on the house contianing the garage you see here. ;) I have an M on my license, I consider my self a "biker" though I don't hang with crowd much anymore. I don't care what a guy/gal rides, still gets a wave from me.

Yeah buddy! And for 27 large and change, I'd be proud to take the hecklin'.

i ride a wide glide. but i have given consideration to getting a goldwing for a coast to coast trip. all of that storage space and passenger comfort is appealing. plus it is a good way to make friends with geezers :)

TWENTY SEVEN
I really don't think you'd catch much flak from too many people, by riding one of those 'beasties'. BIG difference between that and a GW. I better quit lookin' at that photo, before I find myself at the local Honda shop monday morning .... just to look, of course. Besides, I'm too old to "convert".

countdown to threadlock in 3...2...1....

I've got nothing against goldwings, just not me. besides, why buy one of those gawdy things when you can have an ultraglide classic for like 22k, loaded.

on guns, yeah, AR-15s are good on woodchucks, but for how much mine jams (its brand new and kept pretty darn clean), I'm slightly worried about how the m-16 is going to treat me when I am active duty. time will tell.
