Lipsey special edition J frame in 38 and 32mag

My Lipsey's dealer called about getting me one and said they were "allocated" and they couldn't get me one.
I will just wait 6-9 months for the excitement and hoopla to die down.
Remember how the Sig 365 was "unobtainium" for several months before production caught up? Same thing will likely happen with the 432/632.

I ordered mine right after Shot Show and was actually surprised to grt one so soon. I had told the gun store that I would accept either one of the 32 magnum models but preferred the stainless one which was delivered.

I sure hope so.

Lipsey's runs aren't like a 365, they tend to only make so many of a model. Unlike Sig who will keep cranking out a model. Now, it will be interesting to see if S&W makes something like this down the road, or a similar version. Hard to say, I'm not sure what sort of agreement they have.

I wonder if this will encourage anybody to make a small to medium small .32 ACP. Sort of a .32 on a .380 frame.
Sorry, I'm not tracking. Are you talking about a 32acp revolver or semi? Agreed that 32acp doesn't get much love these days.

Auto, kind of like a .32 Colt Automatic Pistol. I know there are .380 revolvers but that is not what I was then thinking of.
.32 ACP is more powerful than any .22 I have shot so far - well, the same 99 ft lb as Stinger - and more reliable in centerfire. My Keltec .32 is tiny, what they used to call a vest pocket pistol, but that makes it a hard kicker.

Both Lipsey's and S&W have said that this won't be a limited run, and will become regular production.

Hope this hasn't been posted already.

Looks like a great J frame edition (Ultimate Carry) with a lot of upgrades AND 32mag coming back which I love;
Now...if they would provide a 3" barrel!

I sent Taurus an email asking them to consider doing a modern update of the H&R Young America, but for .32 S&W Long. Taurus is like the Kel Tec for revolvers, they'll pretty much make anything that's a revolver if it's something outside the of the box, but further they're a large enough company they'd have the money to tool up to produce a smaller frame that would be a smaller than a J frame revolver.
I don't expect them or anyone to do it because .32's don't sell, even tho they're the most practical caliber for small frame revolvers. What would sell is .22 because it's cheap and has no recoil, but the problem with all double action .22 revolvers today is they're made on .38/.357 frames which means the revolvers are far larger than they need to be for the .22 caliber.

So, my thinking is if any super small frame .32 revolver is ever to be made, it has to have a .22 version as the base. If you slap a .22 revolver that's half the size and weight of a .38 snub in someone's hands, they're going to take notice and as long as it's cheap to shoot (what's cheaper than .22?) they won't care and since they already bought the .22 version, they'll probably also buy the .32 later on.

.32 ACP in a revolver? IDK, I guess if someone like Taurus or Ruger would go thru the expense of producing a super small .22 revolver then they could offer a combination .32 ACP/.32 S&W Long convertible revolver on the same frame.

I got my 432 about 10 days ago now.
The trigger pull feels fairly heavy, but stages easily and repeatedly.View attachment 1207055

I shot it for the first time yesterday at 10 yards, and it shoots really well.
I agree that the trigger is smooth for a J frame and it is easy to shoot in double action because of the predictable staging of the trigger.

I don't know how I missed this in January?
Cool little J frames. I would like to handle one before I would order one. Being a lefty I wonder how the inset grips on the left side would feel?
