The use of a bob sled would have reduced the time from box to chamber.
I thought the same thing. The use of a bob sled would have reduced the time from box to chamber.
Since the 1000 yard range is closed until March, and the other range only goes to 100, I got out the 22's and played with a 55 FMJ/Trailboss load.

23.5 yards (I accidentally set my target a little closer than I thought, was going for 25) Measured afterward with the rangefinder.

Top right is the CZ 455 with SK Standard
Bottom two groups are 55 FMJ/trailboss. Interesting that the gun is zeroed at 100 and holding dead-on at 23 came pretty close.
Quieter, fun load for the youth or female friend, safe on steel closer than 100 yards, affected more by wind than a 3000fps round.right. why would you want a 1500fps round when most 55g are at least 3000 fps?
Plus I’m going to spend a lot of time with the carbine and pistol this year.
picking up a Ruger PCC (as good of excuse as any, right?).
I'm enjoying mine. Fighting the urge to do "load development" for it. That would defeat the purpose and spoil the fun. Went to the range yesterday, set up on the pistol lane and plinked steel until I was out of ammo (I got the 50 round drum mag). Grinned all the way home
