I am, LOL! You didn't read the post friend. I said contact congressmen, write letters to BATF, but don't pay high prices for this ammo. If you build rifles with fast twist rates, you can reload your own ammo using a 62 grain projectile with a lead core. You can get 1000 bullets for right around $100 (as of last night) and the final price is going to be less than M855.Ordered 6 cans on-line (For $172) Sat mid-day after striking out a 7 Walmarts. I build guns with fast twist match grade barrels and I like practice fodder with similar POI to match grade. Now who exactly is telling me to "settle down"?

The ATF once considered that the ammo had to be "usable" in a handgun that was designed to be "carried and concealable"... that just evaporated into thin air because AR pistols do not meet this standard. For me the round is not the issue. What bothers me is the simple declaration of the green type being evil and prohibited. I am sure this is the issue with most people.
Sure it was cheap and performed Ok, not good, but that is neither here nor there.
What about typical body armor? Penetration of green tip is a moot point. My dads hunting rifle will penetrate that like butter. Eventually that may be on the chopping block with green tip as a precedent for it.
On another note what about a nice hot loaded 45/70 or 50 cal whisper? I imagine a cast lead 900g 1050 fps projectile could cause some interesting trauma without penetrating anything lol. Consider simple power level as being an issue. 338 lapua or maybe one of the mainstream ultramag rounds, you know elk hunter specials. Using a common match bullet like the sierra matchking or a bonded hunting bullet, I imagine they have an interesting effect on armor...
UK regulates Energy levels of their air guns. Wouldn't want to shoot your eye out.
My buddy is cop. He worries about things penetrating his vest on duty. You know what caliber he worries about most? Knives. Knives eat his issued soft armor alive...
It is a pocket pistol. That puts it into the automatic pistol category per the ATF.Oddly enough is covered under the ATF order, lol.
If thats all there were, we'd be OK.
