I am looking for a mouse gun to go in my pocket, I would like to hear options. Price range is around 300. .32 is an option since I will practice for headshots only with mouse guns, but I prefer .380. It don't have to be an auto, just small enough to easily fit inside my jeans pocket.

You may come close to the Ruger LCP for your 300.00. I have been carrying one daily for over six months now. It's a 380, very reliable after 250 rounds and is one of the smallest and lightest concealed carry guns around. I retired my Seecamp 32 after buying my Ruger LCP.

Uh,...yup,...still there Keltec P3AT,...in my right front pocket as I type,...sometimes on my belt IWB at 4 o'clock.. carrry it almost every day,..... unless I think I can get away with bigger.

i would give the Bersa thunder 380 a look. might be a touch big for pocket carry, but not 100% sure. i really like these little guns.

My stainless Taurus 738 (.380 version of the Slim) was $309, OTD including sales tax, from Academy. Sticker was $279.

I've only shot it once, and so far I'm impressed with the long but smooth trigger pull. The gun feels good and really helps negate recoil. Sights stink, but that's true of most of the little mouse guns.

Kel-Tec P3-AT, as mentioned, as well as the Ruger. Considering used? Might open some more possibilities. I carry a Bersa Thunder, but it is hardly a "mouse gun", being bigger than many 380 pistols. That extra size gives it the advantages of being easier to shoot accurately (longer sight radius and better handhold), deliver a little more punch, albeit negligible, due to the longer barrel, and of holding an extra round. The main disadvantage is it's larger size.
Anyone know the going rates for AMT Backup/Backup-II pistols on the used market?
Also, since you didn't rule out revolvers, you might come across some used S&W or Rossi .38 Special models that can be pocket-carried. I used to carry my Charter Arms Undercover that way a lot, when I didn't wear jeans as often. Jean pockets are a tad too shallow; don't fully cover the butt (of the gun!)

I'll take all of those at $300 you can send my way.

I am picking up a Taurus TCP. $279 and comes with two mags. Doesn't seem to have any more issues than the Kel-tec or LCP (remember, Ruger recalled something like 80,000 LCPs and they are still well loved). It will be my first Taurus in many years, but the made in USA part tipped me over the edge.

Academy Sports and Outdoors here has the Taurus TCP for 280 bucks. I kinda like it, stainless. slide lock on the last round, and folks that have them say they're a step up in accuracy over the other small 380s.

I ran into a NEAT deal the other day. I'd been wanting a Makarov, but stumbled upon a Polish Radom P64 in 9x18 Makarov for $199 at Gander Mountain in Sugar Land, Texas. I bought it. I love that thing, very accurate, and ammo is available and cheap. 94 grain Silver Bear hollow points at 12 bucks for 50 is my carry load for it. It's more compact than the Maks, but holds only 6 rounds as the grip is shorter. It's basically PPK sized, all steel, a might heavier than the little .380s, but I've been carrying it in a pocket for a week and haven't developed a limp, yet. :D I mean, there's nothing wrong with my 9x19 Kel Tec P11 I normally carry, I'm just sort of still infatuated with the Polish Mak. :D

My guess is that by mid-Summer all of the gun sites will be raving about the new Smith & Wesson Bodyguard .380, due out in May. It's a mean looking little pistol, equipped with built in laser sights. But I am also certain that it will come with an unreasonable price tag.

Kool.

have you considered a kel tec pf9? very thin, light and 9mm which i would rather carry than .380.

Another vote for the P-64:)

I bought mine last summer and it's my warm weather CCW. Made a lil' back pocket holster that prints like a wallet, and it rides nicely all day long.

Cheap to buy, cheap to feed (comparably), accurate and fun:evil:

I have a pair of KT P32's... love them. I feel that the .32 acp is the perfect round for a tiny pocket auto. I find it to be a good compromise between power, capacity, and mildness of recoil. Here is a little writeup I did on them.

Whatever you decide to get, don't forget to practice with it regularly. These pocket guns take substantial practice to master.

LCP in .380 for me. Why carry a .32 when the new .380s are pretty much the same size? And as for recoil, I prefer the LCP over the recoil-operated .380s like the Walther PPK and the Sig P230/232; the locking barrel of the LCP helps it feel less sharp recoil-wise. With pinking ammo it's positively pleasant. Others have differing opinions.

BTW to the OP: you need a pocket hoster. DeSantis makes a good one (the Nemesis) for about $15. There are many other options.

Picked up my Ruger LCP NIB for $300.00 couple of weeks ago. And
I agree, the DeSantis Nemesis is an excellent pocket holster

Seven hours and no one has jumped in to tell you the PF9 isn't a pocket pistol? The doubters are slacking.

Beats me how anyone can claim a PF9 isn't a pocket gun, then go to the revolver forum and talk up the Smith 642 as a pocket gun. My little snubby .38 is significantly larger than a PF9 and I can pocket THAT.

I must have weird pockets. My 642 in a Mika holster has more than enough room in my pocket, but my Kel-Tec P11 (same size as the PF9 only a tad thicker) just does not fit right at all.

With stock grips the j-frame is narrower top to bottom than the PF9 IIRC... which for me is the deciding factor, not width.
