By all means, a Buckmark. Mine started out as a your average, garden variety Buckmark, but one year when my son was overseas, he wanted to WOW me with a birthday present

I added the Fastfire, but that Tactical Solutions barrel is nice and light, this one has great balance, and very accurate. Easily my "most fun" gun
****, if it's gonna be that kind of party....

You guys (MCGunner excluded) apparently don't realize that you can literally never run out of fun .22 guns to shoot.

I have a MkII that is on my "Never Sell" list. Nothing special, just a plain old stainless bull barrel, but man, that gun shoots. This is my second one, my first having been sold so I could buy the stainless (and by god, I am trying to buy my blued one back!)

I have owned or shot extensively Single Sixes, Bearcats, Buckmarks, Beretta NEOS, 87's (wonderful, though expensive, pistols), and Cheetahs, Phoenix Arms (fun. Quality is shaky but fun), derringers, NAA Mini-revolvers, conversions for 1911's, A few different Taurus models, H&R and more. I liked some more than others, some were more accurate or functioned better than others, all were fun to shoot.

If you expand your love of .22 to magnum and Hornet, it gets even better, and lets not forget about rifles!

In conclusion, if you can't have fun with a .22, guns might not be for you. Not everyone is in love with them, but I have yet to meet someone who doesn't occasionally enjoy shooting them.

Its reliable, and I'm using that word in it's definitive form, with CCI Mini Mags, and an absolute .22 monster with Stingers. Many are shooting Fed Bulk, I however do not hate my gun to shoot anymore dirty junk through it. The mini mags are $6.97 for 100, roughly 45% of the cost of the cheapest 9mm. I will be using these predominately, Stingers as defense ammo.

I own and actually USE a cleaning kit. Federal bulk pack is the most accurate .22LR I've yet tried in the gun, that and I can get 550 of 'em for the price of 300 CCI. I don't find cleaning a gun after a range session that difficult, especially the SR22. I shoot black powder, so perhaps I have lower "dirt" standards. I even have a BP .22. :D

This is awesome!!! How do you people find this stuff?

Sent from my DROID RAZR
I heard about it on the kel tec forum KTOG. I used to own a PF9 and the twisted industries. 22lr conversion kit for it. I was very pleased. I also had (still do) a P11 that I petered over the PF9, so I sold them and kept the P11. At the time TI only offered the conversion for the PF9. Now they make it for the P11. I plan on getting one soon.

The guys at Twisted Industries seem like good people. If I am not mistaken they actually work fir Kel Tec. And do this as a side project.

Lots of info about it at KTOG

I went to the range earlier today and shot some CCI Mini Mags through my SR22. No problem at all, which is what I expected. Hopefully, my .22 rifles will like the Remington Thunderbolt and Federal Lightning (what a combo!) so that it doesn't go to waste.

May or may not be of interest to SR22 owners, I mean, considering the cost, but I found a box of RWS Target, 12 rounds left in it. It's about 15 years old. Took it to the range today and sat down at the 25 yard bench and fired one 1.5" group slightly high with a Federal sight in. Now, I gave $3.69 for the stuff 10 or 15 years ago, still a sticker on the box. I think the stuff is probably up around 8 or 9 dollars a box of 50 now. I'd bought some of it to use in my old Remington bolt gun at club shoots 'cause that gun LOVES the stuff, one hole groups at 25 and just about at 50. 1/2" more accuracy isn't enough to make me wanna plink with the stuff in the SR22, but hey, it's info I filed away. I could pick up some to carry afield. It's solid point target stuff, but it'd kill a rabbit. :D But, really, the Federal is good stuff in the gun. This last 550 pack had NO misfires, all functioned flawlessly. Maybe Federal is getting better at priming, or maybe I got lucky. LOL The gun has around 1400 rounds through it now and I am getting better with it shooting off hand. :D

just *thinking* about my new sr22 makes me smile! its combination of great feel in the hand, pointability, excellent sights for such a small package, above average single action trigger feel, remarkable capability to run all sorts of loads efficiently, and certainly acceptable accuracy, is beyond any other comparable pistol.

can't wait to hit the range, tomorrow.

bersa/firestorm 22 also looks interesting.
the sr22 will be my first pistol when I get cc permit though. I can not wait.
I love my 10/22 and know I will love the sr22!
