New York hunters

I looked on ebay for your dies , from $75 & up.
Do you need specific 6mm ARC brass or can you reform 243 or other caliber?
Dies have been available, just not funds lol. I'll probably get the hornady dies when I do, I normally get rcbs but there's size to much in the 6mm ARC. Hornady made the round so there dies fit better. I've been shooting factory ammo and shot about 80 rounds so far of the 140 rounds I've got.

Hey guys don't forget today is the first day to grab the leftover doe tags, DMP tags.

Between the four of us we have a total of twenty deer tags.
Last year we filled ten tags and quit hunting. We ran out of people to give venison to.
Last year we had twenty-eight deer rage between New York and Pennsylvania.
I call Shafs Meats in Harpursville and asked if they could use some deer for the food program and they were full with deer to process for hunters.

Why I like grinding most deer I have into hamburger, I'll save the loins back straps and one of 2 of the bigger roasts from each rear leg and grind the rest. I grind it coarse then Separate, some goes to have pork fat for sausage, some gets no fat and finished Ground for deer jerky. But most gets mixed in with 10-15% beef fat, there's so many uses for ground deer with beef fat. Like burgers, most would not even know there deer. Chilli, meatloaf, taco, meat pies, spaghetti sauce, dozens more uses for ground meat then just some deer roasts, stew meat and loin.

I was hoping this year to get one of those lem ginders, id like at least there #12 3/4 horse. Soon they will have there sale which is like 20% off. They have different attachments you can use on them to.

Amazon has LEM grinders cheaper than LEM sells them for. I bought my 1/2 hp there last year. I've used it to grind 3 deer into burger and several Boston butts into Italian sausage and bratwurst. Don't need a casing stuffer, the grinder does that too.

You have to process your own deer, they are above the $100 mark to have them processed.
It's not worth it to pay to have them cut up.
.Troy have looked in to buying a remanufactured grinder?
A friend bought one several years ago.
Do you have a vacuum sealer.
haven't looked may split it one day with my buddy I hunt with, don't got a vac like to pick one up someday.

I haven't look on Amazon yet, probably won't have the money this year anyways, I'd like to get the #12 or the 1 hp I don't really need that much power but the parts are universal to other #12 grinders and it will work with every attachment they make.

My dad shot a nice sized doe this morning down by me around 7am. Walked out and 2 were in the field, the big doe and a small yearling. I would have shot the other but it was a small deer, shot was 250-275 yards drt. first deer he ever shot with a 270win, only took like 60 years of hunting to use one lol. just factory 130gr federal.

I've processed my own deer, and I'd like to do it more often, but I just don't have the time. I can get out for a day (or just an afternoon/evening) here and there. If I get a deer I'd have to process it on its own since who knows how many more days til I could go out again. I'm better off earning or hunting, even if it would make me happy to process the deer myself.

We have a doe my brother got hanging we need to get cut up. A new place we acquired to hunt on the owner would like two deer for two of his friends.
If we get any more they will be given to them.

Kind of slow compared to the past few years.
Ed came back out from Washington and my cousin from Pennsylvania came up for a week.
Ed got two nice does, I got a small doe and a large doe, Jim got one with his Mitsubishi and a nice doe with a rifle.
Tomorrow we have to go to the new property we aquired to hunt on in South Plymouth
(137 Acres) to do so.e work for the property owner out of the city.
He would like two deer for two of his friends. If we get any more deer they are his.
Nice piece of property that hasn't been hunted on for close to thirty years.
Next summer I need to come back for a couple of weeks and do some brush hogging and put a few food lots in.
I have another friend from Washington and a friend ftom Oregon that wants to come back here hunting.
I might get a room at the susquehanna motel in bainbridge for the whole month when I come back next year.

Won't be able to get out till weekend, AL isn't up to it. Been going out alone, missed opening weekend completely due to issues with my heating systems.
Ya he picked me up, to bad there wasn't another bigger doe I'd like to try out that 6mm ARC.

It's been a while getting back on here, I got a new phone and am not good with it yet.
